Aw it happens, if it helps I have been down to an 8 and back to 10 a few times here. Yes the rating is one factor used to determine our pay, but it's not something that can not be fixed in time. Just stay positive and focused on making great discussions and replies. In no time it will go back up.
Tips:
Stay away from posting discussions that include links to making money, no matter if it's to a blog site or to your profile. Mylot doesn't like this and I do believe the number of posts deleted does have an affect on our ratings, even though the FAQ’s does not mention this.
The more positive of a person you are the more people will love ya. That will help in raising it up. So try to avoid posts that will set you off, they are not worth it.
Reply to your replies in your discussion. I will give a plus for those that do this and not with just a "hey thanks for posting" but with something that shows they read my post. So that may help.
Anyway, hope something here you can use and again give it time and it will go back up. Good luck ?

Maybe it's due to all the referral links you add to discussions. Those get deleted and or rated a negative by most members here. That's why I've never responded to those discussions of yours. That's the truth.

Ignore the above comment. Was to go somewhere else. The star rating is really a nonsense p[iece of computer hardware that isn't reliable at all. I think they need to drop it in reality. Don't worry and keep posting quality discussions.

To your second post bob... I agree totally.. I can careless what color star mine is.. As long as people are here to talk and listen I'm willing.. I have met alot of great people from this site.. Here people are worrying about a color of a star come on, Really is that what mylot is all about.. My oppion NO.... Don't worry about the color of a star and the rating, Just give what you can and do your best! Again just my oppion!!

Do not worry about the star rating and keep on posting good things and also be regular with quality posts and help others in their questions, you will surely get better results and get on the top. Also try to start a new discussion and try to get much response from the discussion.

Some of your friends or some stranger may be rating you negative (-). I just voted this discussion started by you as positive (+). You cannot know who has voted what for you. You cannot even MyLot reply to you about your votings by members here. It has happened to me and now my star number is stuck on 6 for two last months. If you see I have many discussion marked as best response but nothing on star number.

Sorry bout that but it could be worse. Look at me.
And I do not post referral or websites or forums here. I help people and on occasion I debate. I'm sure some did not like me for it and rated negative (against the rules by the way).
