Have you ever gotten a hole in one? much less get a hole in one more than once? Was it a purely lucky shot? Unfortunately, I haven't gotten when, it would be a thrill to. Ive come close several times, but it wont sink in. whats the funniest hole in one story you have ever heard? Mine, a total beginner, hit a shot, duffed it basically but since it was a downhill par 3 it just kept rolling, but there was a water hazard, the bll managed to circumvent this went over the bridge into the hole. Another one, a player played so badly, he was the most exercised player, BUT he also managed to get a hole in one and took home a new car. How was it when it happened to you? what was your first reaction? is the reaction still the same after your second or third one? its funny, on a call hole par 3, everyone moves away from the pin. I stand directly on the pin, why? its the safest place to be, otherwise more people would get a hole in one

I missed a hole in one by 2mm, if it was 2mm closer to the hole it would have dropped. It was a 150m uphill par 3 and with bunkers on both sides of the green and a huge tree overhanging the front left part of the green. The pin was in the front of the green.

I've never gotten a hole in one either. I have never even seen one in person. My Dad has had one. He like to tell the story so much you'd think he's had a dozen. I've come close quite a few times. Close enough to stop my heart...but they never drop. I've even been close to an ace on a few short par 4 holes. That would be a story worth telling. I worked as an Assistant Pro for a military course. I gave this little old retired couple a 45 minute lesson. You know just basic stance and grip. They were very limited phyically, so we wroked around that and they were getting the ball airborne...barely. After my session with them they went for a nine hole playing lession with the head pro. My Boss. The little old lady aced the first par three they came to which was the 4th hole. Granted it was from the ladies tee, but still. She's 75 yrs old, she's never played a day in her life, she had one 45 minute lesson and she aces the first par three she ever played. In front of the head pro at the golf course. It was like 92 to 102 yards depending on where the tees were set up in the ladies block. Of course, I tried to take some credit for it. Why not? I taught her how to do what she did. So what if she could barely hit the ball out of her shadow? I tried to parlay that incident into a raise...but that didn't work. My boss told me I didn't teach her how to be lucky.
