My daughter and son in law have finally received their travel documents and are leaving for China on Sept 13th to pick up their daughter and make it all official..we will be taking care of the 2 grandson's and all the critters while they travel...it should be an exciting time.. We feel very blessed to be having this wonderful child added to our family!!! She will be 8 days shy of her 1st birthday when she arrives here in Seattle!! So we will really have a reason to party!! Have any of you experienced international adoption?

I haven't done this yet, but my husband and i are in the process of doing so. About how long did it take for the whole process and was it very costly? We have an 8 and 3 year old girls. After the 3 year old i had my tubes tied, but i immediately got the baby blues and had them ever since. My husband pretty much goes with what i want, but this is something we are looking in to.

My grandson's are 6 and 4 and they have wanted to adopt since the 4 year old was 2...but they only got on the international list 1 year ago...they got moved up on the list because they were willing to take a girl that has a disablity and will require some medical procedures..but can easily be fixed...I believe the cost including the travel is around $ 9,000 but I could be way off!!! I'll check and let you know!!

No, I have never experienced international adoption, nor do I know anyone who has ever done this, but I would just like to commend your daughter and son-in-law for taking this little baby girl into their lives and giving her a warm and loving home. I'm sure she will flourish under their guidance. You must send us a photo of her sometime. Good luck to all of you, and God Bless.
