Are you ever bored - not in them moment but in the greater picture?

I'm rarely bored - for one thing I have a little baby, plus I'm an avid reader and daydreamer. So no matter how long the line at the store or the wait at the doctor's office, I have something to do to keep my mind busy. Sometimes the idea - and I could speak and feel for the other side - how beautiful the cycle of life is - but for now we speak of boredom - sometimes the endless cycles bore me. The nine to five days that end in weekends and then start again, the school years I see as circles in my mind as well (I love school don't get me wrong) and even more, the getting married and having children then the children growing up and having kids, then your a grandparent then you pass on and it starts again over and over. Now, I know that in the moment - the only truly important thing - the moment - my life will be filled with excitement - already is, my baby sitting, standing, saying mom and ma ma first steps first day of school etc.
Do you ever feel this way, happy in the moment(which we should focus on anyway) bored with the bigger picture - the endless cycle?

Love you discussion, but a little word of advice to you are to others, be unique when it comes to discussions. Post things that you believe no one else will post on here. Post more things about science fiction, history, science, philosophy, comics books/graphic novels, music, math, dancing, fishing, things like that. Dare to be different.

Yes but are you bored in the moment because you have nothing to do, or it an intellectual type thing, like my discussion topic?

I more or less agree with you. Life is like that...for each one of us here. The circle of life goes its way for all of us. It is for us, which moment or moments, we really wish to enjoy, how we make our moves, so that we could enjoy our life, how we life with others, to make them happy and make them smile. Thinking deepily into complexitieis of life...sometimes makes us sad, but...life has to go on....we cannot say..it is very boring, I mean the routine is very boring...so we are not going to live. Life will definitely pass very quickly, it is for us to enjoy each of every moment of our life.

Thanks deepak - as I say - I enjoy each moment - the moment - I'm actually never bored in the moment...it only the philosophical er not really the word I want - its only the thought of the bigger picture which is boring!

Great plan. As I relayed in my discussion, I like to remain in the moment - where I'm never bored - and focus on what I'm doing there. I guess for me its kind of a philosophical boredom...

Hi artemis432! Well, there are times that I feel that way too. Whenever I think of life, it is the same thing like any others. Just like you have just said, going through all the cycles and if you see it in a bigger picture, we are all doing almost the same things and that is boring. But if, we really get a closer look, aah those moments, those precious moments that excites you, moments that makes you happy, that makes you love, sad, hurt,ect..those are tthe ones that really matters. Those moments that we take in our journey of life is the thing that counts most and that is what matters. Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!
