What do you think are good communication skills?How to Promote the Skills?

Last time when I had an interview in a big company, I passed the first round. But for the second round of the interview, I failed. I was informed that they couldn't give me the offer just because I lack of communication skills.
I was so sad.:(
So, can we have an open discussion here that what good communications lie in? And how can people promote these skills?

Well I think the best communication skills is to listen and show interest and to ask questions as to show interest in the company, but then I guess every company wants something different, I know when I was looking for jobs which was mainly in the telecomunicatios most jobs were already assigned that the interview was just a formality, but I would say to you to have a happy persona, show interest in the company and listening is the most important, I wish you luck, I hope you get a really good job.
