Can office colleagues be friends?

How many of you think office colleagues can become friends? When I first started work, I always maintained a distance with my colleagues but fortunately for me, they turned out to be so helpful and supportive that today some of them are my closest friends. Even though I have stopped working with some of them ten years back, I'm still very close to them. We all live in different cities but we keep in touch through emails and telephones. In fact, if any one of us learns of a piece of news or has some interesting gossip about our former workplace we share with each other even now.

Why not. In fact those who are transferred from long distances, do not have anybody else to hang on. Their office colleagues beocme close friends who help them find a place, find some furnitures, find some good grocery shops, find a set in some school for children, find some newspaper vendors, milk vendors etc. The people of karnataka are very friendly and nice people and they go out of the way to help others.

Hello, ssh. There is a Chinese saying like this: faraway relatives are less good than your close neighbour. It shows that wherever we are, our best friends that can offer help in the case of emergency can offer us help whenever at the first time.

I think that we can if we are office colleagues. This mainly relies on each other's personality and interest and intimacy. I have been friends with my colleague mates and can always be. You know, a good relationship is more than anything else.

Hi rinkub! I believe that we can find friendship in any place, especially in the office that we are spending so much time. But then it will depend upon us if we will be opening our hearts to people who can be good friends to us. Give people chance to be our good friends, and who knows they might end up being true friends after all. Take care and have a nice day!
