Hi, I also arrange my clothes in my closet in the similar fashion, i fold the clothes which i wear them regularly, i mean to say my jogging dress and also my night wear. Party wear clothes i iron them and put them to hanger and put them aside. This way my closet really looks nice and well organized and in the similar way i do arrange the clothes for my husband as well. Thank you so much for posting such a nice discussion.... Bye and have a great day ahead... Merry Christmas...take care.

that's a wonderful thing to do. it shows how orderly one is and clean. in this way it's very difficult to misplace anything of a kind. i arrange my clothes according to seasons, according to pairs like wearing a shirt and a trousers, unders, shorts, t-shirts. those that are occational wears are folded and packed in a suitcase. this in short is how i arrange my closet.

hi zer0cahrly,well its a very good question i must say at least for me..because i love to do things in order and keeping them arranged..well even i am like you as even i like to keep my closet keep as neat and clean as possible..so i keep them in hangers most of the time and some of them i keep in a stacked fashion with clean folding..i only keep ironed clothes in my closet so that it becomes easy to just pick and wear them and it saves time also..and you are in saying when we keep them in a well arranged fashion in our closet even then we can save time by finding them easily if your collection is very big..and in that case its good on your part that you keep them according to colors but i keep them according their type and size like all smaller ones i mean short tops i keep on one side and then a bit longer ones..and yeah i keep the larger or heavy ones like jerseys or coats etc in stacks..i also keep them according to the season..which i think everyone does..well thats it how i keep them..

I too arrange my clothes in my closet. Hung on hangers are my pants, jeans, shirts and other outfit I wear for outside the house (work, travel, gimik, etc.) Below, I folded my shorts, shirts and others that I only wear at home. Briefs, handkerchiefs, socks and others are tucked in one corner.

I don't care for bureau's and my husband does so I have shelves in my closet . The top shelf is where I have all my summer tops that I find are too small to waste on a hanger , the next shelf is for my pants and shorts and the bottom shelf is for my p.j's and I have a box that holds all my necissities . I hang my sweaters on one side of the closet and have my husbands on the other side so that when we look in it is easy to find what we are looking for also I have my clothes hanging on plastic hangers where my husbands is on the regular steel hangers because he always breaks the plastic hangers . I love my closet as it is a nice size and it is a walk in so it is more like another little room then a closet .

Hi, I guess here each one of us would have our own choice and what suits us best, as we all vary in these things. Some would hang their clothes, some would fold them, some would take the summer clothes out and keep the winter clothes aside for the winters and re-shuffle their clothes, some would not bother at all, and let the closet look messy, as they are used to pulling out one set of clothes from that mess!! And they are happy with the state like that.So it all depends on what kind of a person you are. I personally like to keep my clothes well managed and set. I have separate shelves for clothes that are to be worn out, those which are daily wear, and those that are to be worn at home only. There is a separate corner for other accessories and other smaller clothes, so that they dont come in the way of the main clothes. Each season i shuffle the clothes, that is, in winters, i have the woollens out and in the summers, the woolens are kept safely in the boxes, and the summer clothes are out. Then i also have a separate closet, where i just hang all my families choicest clothes, mainly the party wear clothes, which are always ready to wear, and are well ironed and hung there. So, in short i use a combination of ways to take care of my clothes and the same i make the kids follow too, so that they are trained right from the start to look after their clothes, and they too fold their clothes each time they take them out, so that the room and area around does not look messy, as i feel a messy room, gives a very congusted and untidy look.

seems like you've read all the response of others..and that's good..you are right..it depends on the person on how they arrange their clothings..coz you are right..there are some who are just contented with a mess up closet.lol..but we cant blame them..i guess it will be easy for them to find their things if they'll arranged their closet. --you are right..you should be a role model and set an example to your kids..so that when they grow up,they will also do the same thing.. -thanks for that wonderful response..I'll give you a reward for that!.. -keep on responding!

Thanks for marking this as the best response, but let me clarify that i dont ever read what others have written, firstly as i dont have much time, and secondly if we read then we are not able to write our own opinions, which is something that i dont like, anyways, its ok, it happens. And i shall surely keep responding, thanks and bye.

I'm really obsessive about the arrangement of things. But I'm not really sure exactly how I arrange my closet...I guess it would be divided into long pants and skirts, short pants and skirts, long sleeve shirts, casual short sleeve shirts, casual singlets, nice shirts, work clothes/uniforms, jackets. Then I guess I colour code too...well...sometimes. Quite often my closet gets in a real mess and then all of a sudden I freak out and need to clean it properly regardless of what else is going on.

Before i had my own wardrobe, all my clothes are mixed up with my brother in a small wardrobe and it was often very untidy and so hard to find my clothes.. Thus when i got the money, i buy one wardrobe for myself.. lol Right now, all my home clothes are folded nicely and placed in a wire basket on the 1st shelf, and all my bags and stuffs, i create a empty space between 2 shelf for them.. As for my jeans and pants, i hang them separately with a special hanging roller thing for them.. lol =D As for my outing clothes, and jackets all that, they are nicely hanged up just above my wire basket.. hehe ^_^

I organize my closet by purpose. I hang all my tshirts together, my casual where, my pants, my dresses etc. I once roomed with a girl who organized hers by color because she wanted it to look pretty. I thought that was crazy. She seemed to always be looking for something.

My closet is in a mess. And it is not because I care less about arranging them properly. But it is because I have very little space left for myself in there. As my wife's 'few' clothes already take up a huge space in the Cupboard I get very little space for myself.Hence I have to hang my shirts, trousers outside behind the bedroom door or just throw it across chairs kept in the room.I know it is so good to have your clothes all neatly arranged but hey do I have a choice??haha
