So, do you remember when your first baby tooth came out of your mouth? How old were you when you lost the tooth? Did your parents tell you to put the tooth under your pillow for money?
I lost my first tooth when I was four or maybe five years old. I hate to admit this, but I was actually sitting in the front seat of our car at the time and biting on the seatbelt (the part that goes across your shoulder and chest). How strange is that? I think it was some sort of belated teething that kids do when their little teeth are ready to come out. I just felt a compulsion to bite things like fabric and seatbelts.
And, one day while knawing on this seatbelt, out popped a baby tooth. It was a really big deal. It hurt, but I felt like such a big kid. And, everyone seemed so proud of me too. So, I went around the entire day showing the gaping hole in my teeth. Thinking about it now, I can't remember which tooth it was, just that it was gone. I think I got five dollars for that tooth.
So, what was it like when you lost your first baby tooth? Was it very painful?

I lost my first tooth the week before I started kindergarten. It had been loose for a while, and my dad had offered to pull it for me, but I was too scared to let him. My grandma and aunt came back from a trip, and when I went over to see what they brought me, I showed them how my tooth was about to fall out. I wiggled it with my tongue so they could see it, and it just fell out. I almost swallowed it because it surprised me so much! lol
When I showed my mom, she told me to put it under my pillow and I would get a dollar, so that's what I did.

I remembered that I lost my first baby tooth when I was seven. It was when I was schooling in standard one in the primary school. I have noticed the tooth is getting loose and I can feel it moving when I push it using my tongue. However I just kept quiet and didn't tell my mom. Then several days after that while playing skipping with my friends at school, I ate a biscuit and suddenly felt like the teeth is getting very loose. I told my friend about it and she told me to just pull it out. She told me she pulled her own tooth too by using a thread.
So I agreed to do it with her help. We went to the toilet, she tied my tooth with a piece of thin thread and gave the end of the thread to me. I stood in front of a sink in the toilet, facing a mirror. When she said "pull!" I pulled while closing my eyes. The tooth came out so easy. I didn't feel any pain at all. There was blood at first but it stopped after a short while.
I was so proud of myself, and later brought the tooth back home. I showed it to my mother. She told me to throw the tooth to the top of the roof. It is our cultural belief to throw the first baby tooth to the top of the roof so that the new teeth will grow quickly, healthily and beautiful. Lol. That's my story.
