Just got a quick question!

Ok guys, i have just a quick question, i guess you all know the answer to it, but i dont because im a noob here! Well anyways down to my question, when ive been posting around here, i see next to peoples names some stars with numbers inside of it, from 1-10, are they like the top 10 mylotters or something?
i dont understand, please clear this up for me! thanks!

You will also get a star once you reach one hundred posts. The number inside of it is a rating number. you start with a ten and then if anyone gives you a negative rating you will lose a number. The rating can also drop according to the posts that you do I think.
However, it doesn't affect your money on here.

You don't start with a 10 automatically. Your first 100 posts are jdged just the same as everyone else's posts.If the DESERVE a 10 you'll get a 10, if they only deserve a 2 then that's what yo'll start out with. It takes a lot more than just one negative to drop a number and it also akes more than one positive to go up a number. Quality posts will give yo a higher rating...bad posts will give you a lower one. Whether or not the start affects earnings is questionable.

I think you already have the basic idea of what your star is lol so I'll just add this little bonus info about it. You can hover your mouse over your star and everyone else's stars to see their exact rating. Like right now I have a 96/100. If it was a 94/100 I would have a red 9 star. It doesn't mean much more than the big number in terms of your overall status here but it will give you an idea of how close (or far) you are from the next star level.

Ah...that's right! I forgot that Firefox worked differently. I've never used it...although considering my user name maybe I should LOL!

I switched to firefox after encountering too many problems wit IE not responding a lot of the time and IE would keep freezing up and yes considering your name maybe you should try it at least! LOl!

Hi and welcome to mylot.
If you follow the guidelines then when you reach 100 posts and see your star it will be a 9 or a 10.
