I want the whole package with every feature... even if I don't need them... because I might need them later on.
I want at least 6 sub-domains and six databases.
And I want it all for the one price... not add-on features that you have to pay extra for when you want them.
Besides that... I want an hosting service which is up 99.9 per cent of the time. You don't want your websites to be off line for hours because they keep having problems with their server.
Then you have to shop around for a fair price. I think these days... a basic plan should cost no more than $10 a month.
You also need to determine how much data-serve your website will require... and make sure that the plan you subscribe to will give you what you need.
If your website is only text... you won't need much. But if you put 1000 pictures on it... you will need a lot. And if you have a popular forum... you will need even more.
Finally... there is the payment method. I get suspicious of any website which only accept credit cards and force you to let them debit your card automatically every month. I will only use a credit card if I am given a choice to do so amongst other options.
