I think there's a huge difference between eaves dropping and overhearing conversations. I LOVE to listen to others convos. I just like to hear bits and pieces and make up stories in my own mind about what they're talking about. it's super fun!

Yeah, once in awhile I don't mind tuning in to what others are talking about. People have interesting lives out there and I do enjoy hearing about them.

I do like to listen in. One of my favorite things to do when waiting for public transportation is to listen to people and watch them then make up stories about them and what they are doing and how they may be related to each other. People fascinate me.

I've always been an 'observer' I just think that people in social settings are incredibly interesting.
I often go out by myself with a book and sit somewhere 'high-traffic' to just watch peoples' behaviour, listen in to conversations etc.
It gives huge insight into other people, and funnily enough, I've made many friends like this, in an informal conversation, just saying my piece and being accepted into the conversation. =D

hi taylorblue yes I also like to listen to others talking
as You get a feeling for what other people's lives are all
about and sometimes I get a kinship feeling too. Watching and
'listening to others is really very interesting to me and
I often just sit and watch and listen as people pass by.

i like watching people more than listening to them. but sometimes i would overhear snippets of their conversation and would find myself listening. this got me into an embarrassing situation once. i was in a restaurant and overheard this girl at the next table talking to animatedly to her friends. she seemed so excited about her story, i felt myself drawn in. i didn't know it was going to have a really funny ending, though. and i ended up laughing along with them - the bad thing was the friends i was going to meet up with haven't arrived so i was all alone at that table when we all laughed together. hehe.
