When your pillow falls on the floor, do you get a new pillow case?

Maybe I'm just overly compulsive, but if my pillow falls on the floor, I'm more likely to change the pillow case, than not. I have trouble breathing some nights and just don't feel comfortable with even a speck of dust near my face.
Then again, we do have cats that walk all over our floors and leave cat hair everywhere. And, they're not the cleanest cats. I don't want their germs on my pillow case. So, maybe a little bit of compulsiveness is not so bad. Don't you think?
So, what would you do if your pillow fell on the floor? Would you immediately pick it up and dust it off and use it anyway? Or, would you put a new, clean pillow case onto the pillow right away?

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who does this. If it is in my room, which is off limits to my dogs, I'd pick it up and put it back on my bed (unless it needed to be changed around that time anyway). But I frequently leave my pillow in the living room. If it falls on the floor, it gets a new pillow case. Some may find it odd, but everything we can't see on that pillow, could potentially hurt us.

It is the truth! And, so nice to finally not be alone in the world with my germ phobia. OK, I'm not really obsessed over it. But, it doesn't take much effort to change a pillow case. My little brother got pneumonia from sleeping on the carpet when he was a teen. And, I had to take care of him, so I saw how much he suffered. It was not nice at all. I have no idea why he would sleep on the floor, you know boys, they do weird things like that. So, I figure if there are enough germs to give a person pneumonia, then there might be enough to make me sick too. Plus, dust makes me not breathe so well. I was totally choked up last night and kept coughing. don't think my vacuum is working right.

No I would never think to do that. I am not a real neat freak myself if it falls I just pick it up. My pillow falls between the bed and the wall a few times because there a gap between then(don't have a headboard) Maybe you can make sure you vacuum every night if you're afraid that might happen especially if you have car hairs everywhere.

My floors are pretty clean- and there are times when I catch my cat laying on my pillow! So I know it has some cat hair on it- YUK--- If it fell on the floor in the middle of the night I’d shake it off and sleep- any other time- I would look at it—shake it off and throw it back up there- I change the bedding every week anyways.

I don't change my pillow case just because one falls on the floor. The only time I change my pillow case when I'm not changing my sheets, is when I notice that someone has drooled on them. My husband, my son, and my small dog all drool in their sleep, and I don't want to be sleeping in drool from any of them! Yuck. My son doesn't sleep in our bed very often, but sometimes he wants to take his nap with daddy. I almost always change sheets after that, though. My son drools all over his pillow and then wipes his slobbery hands (he is a thumb sucker) on my pillow.
As far as the germs from my floor, I'm not really too concerned. My dogs sleep with us. We tried to not let them, but it wasn't worth getting up a dozen times a night and putting them out of the bed. So now we are used to it. They bring any germs that we would get from the floor onto our pillows anyway!

No I dont. I am not against claenliness but I make sure that the floor is clean. I Am comfortable with my place when it is in order. I change pillow case in a scheduled pattern, most of teh times once a week, I change my pillow case and bed sheet, not unless my daughter pee in the bed sheet, I will change it right away.
Maybe you are just comfortable with taht... so its ok.
