I'm getting so distracted! I can't believe I wasted 30 minutes surfing around.

Awhile ago, I was posting like crazy and well on my way to achieving my daily goal of 50 discussions, when I totally got distracted with another site. It's a social networking site and you know how those go. Once you go, there's always something new to see. New people to meet, pictures to upload, you name it! Now, I'm almost out of time for the day to post online! But, I guess that happens sometimes. Sometimes when I get really bored with posting or just hungry I will surf around to freebie sites to see what is new. Sometimes I get arm loads of freebies and samples just doing that. But, other than the sheer fun of a freebie, it doesn't pay well! So, what distracts you? Do you get distracted while you are posting on My Lot and surf away to another site for a little fun? How long does it take you to come to your senses and hop back onto My Lot? Does your distractions keep you from earning good money on My Lot?

I love signing up for freebies, so those sites do distract me a lot of times. But I don't do a set number of posts that I want to do a day on mylot. I just get on when I have time and post to whatever discussions I feel like posting to. If I set a goal, I would try so hard to meet it, that I might not get to sleep until a couple of hours before it was time to get back up. I hate setting a goal and not making it, if it is something that I totally control! So my goal instead is just to answer as many discussions as I see that I like. :)

Sometimes if I see something I want to look at from ebay. I will stop and go look at it . I go back to mylot though after I am finished.

Yes, I get distracted from Mylot posting quite often, especially when I decide to visit the websites of Mylottians which have been posted in discussions. You know how it is... you get wrapped in the websites and want to read them right through because they're often very interesting. Oh well... such is life! Brightest Blessings my friend.

Most certainly! I still find that happens to me almost daily. I have to allot my time carefully or it will just slip away!

Yes, I'm not the greatest time management person in the world but I do find it helpful to write a list of things you need to do during the day, and allot a certain amount of time to each task. xx

I can’t for the life of me stay on the site long- I get bored easily- plus I’m a member of other sites- so I’m there also! But the thing that usually takes me away is my family--- My daughter will want to do webkinz or play a game- so we go play. I love freebies—but you are right- they don’t pay well….. I used to do 50 posts a day here on mylot- but I seem to have run out of time—and ambition!

you know what, i also got distracted and went ahead and register this social networking site too. hope they pays well! anyhow, since is dont put a daily goal of how many post i need to make, so its OK if i dont get to mylot and be on another website...but there are times that a lot of the new discussions are interesting that i get hooked up to it for a longer time and ignore all other website. Also, since sometimes it takes a long time for the page in mylot to load, due to my connection also, while waiting for the page to load, i visit my other online earning site.

Yes I always experience that! I am always distracted by someone's website or profile or blogs. I would look and look and forget to come back in mylot. That doesn't really bother me that much because if I focus on looking/ reading something, that should be useful to my website or blog. So in other words, I should have gained something.

You post to 50 New discussions a day? Wow!! That is a lot. You must spend a lot of time on here then to be able to do this. I am lucky most days if I can post to more than like 15 at most due to time. But I can understand the getting distracted when you end up on another site, etc. and do some surfing, etc. to where time gets away from you and you do not get as much posted on here like you were hoping too. For me, I find if my main focus (like right now), is getting some posting in, and starting a New discussion or two, then when I get bored, or it gets past the time where I can earn anything more from posting on here for a day, I then take my break, and do the other things online that I am needing to do. I find myself going thru spurts on how much I post on here, but enjoy being here, and enjoy seeing you on here as well.

Wow!! 100 responses a day? That is a lot. I am lucky to ever do more than 30 usually. And you also start a lot of Good discussions here as well. Thanks for the Best Response my friend, and wishing you the best.

Sure, I hear you. I get bored too,if I spend too much time doing the same type of dicussions. But I keep things mixed up by going around to various friend pages and chatting at all their discussions. I get to see a bit about them and their life. It's always interesting. For me, a slow day would be 50 discussions. Since I posted this awhile back, I've picked up a couple cool techniques for posting over 100 quality responses daily. And my typing is faster. I don't do the tiny one line responses. Those aren't fair to anyone. I just keep chatting and typing! Hey! Thanks for dropping by. Be well. Have a great day.

I think I just get plain out lazy at times.LOL.As I get distracted either from finding a new game to play, makeing my page look nice on Yuwie, etc.I get bored sometimes in one sitting typing on mylot and then I have to go get a snack or something.Of course I have my two little ones that like to distract me.LOL.I like freebies too.I could probably earn more on here if I tried but like you said its easy to get distracted. But its good too as well to take a break for awhile. As everyone need a break now and then. :)

Fortunately for me, I am a focused person. I am not easily distracted. While mylotting, I focus on getting discussions and replying to it. The other distraction is switching to another window while waiting for the screen to refresh after each submit. I am a multi-tasker but I do not surf net while mylotting.

I'm always distracted when I'm on my computer. Usually there is some sort of school assignment that I have to finish before a closing deadline, but whenever I turn on my PC I tell myself, "I'll just go check out YouTube real quick then I'm gonna get back to work" Then I end up searching around at other sites and eventually I never get anything done on time. I waste more then 30 minutes online. Perhaps I am truly addicted to my computer.

Yesss - my life keeps me from my MYLOT! I have a young family that always need me for something. I also just have days that are totally busy and I have no time to sit down let alone sit and type on mylot. I have decided that I am not going to be able to come on here once a day like I thought I would be able to so therefore there must be days where I have to come on here and type like crazy to make up for lost time! 50 discussions - wow - see I get excited when I manage to put a 10th of that amount on daily! I see I am going to have to raise my standards!
