Some people receive a gift from someone either a family member or friend ,and they don't even call or write to say thank you. Do you think is because they are busy or they just don't want to deal with you? I feel that nobody is obligated to send gifts to anyone and this is just a nice gesture. I think that we need to be appreciative and say thank you everytime someone give us a gift or they do something nice for us. In my opinion, this is the right thing to do ,but some people don't think that is important to thank people for anything because they didn't ask for anything. How do you guys feels about these people who hate to say thank you unless they have to.

Infact, to return thanks for a gift is a good gesture and display of good manners. But in addition to this , it brinks people close. The main difference between animals and humans is human can use tongue efficiently and can communicate his or her emotions using the words. Hence, in my opinion, it is obligatory to pass on thanks and other good phrases.

Hi Mirita! I always say "thank you" to people who send me gifts or did something nice or said something nice to me. It is a sign that I do apprciate what they did. As for those people who hate to say "thank you" unless they really have to, I guess they are too busy to say those words or they are simply hard to please. Just my thoughts. take care and have a nice day!

I make it a point to convey my gratitudes to my near and dear ones when the send me some gift. I believe that feelings, love and affection of a person, who has given me the gift must be acknowledged and appreciated.

Definitely, it's the most basic way to express our gratitudes to the person giving us gift and letting he/she know that the gift are appreciated. Besides, it's a good manner my parents taught me since I was very young. Having decent manner will make us welcomed everywhere we go.

Yes, saying thank you is the least we can do to appreciate any gift they give us. Is sad when others don't say thank you.

Hello there. I think it is very important to say thank you when someone does you a favor or gives you a gift. It is basic courtesy. They are not obligated to treat us well, so we must not take them for granted. We must treasure them and give them appreciation.

I feel bad if I give something to somebody and that somebody does not sa "Thank you". But then I just shrug my shoulders. It is because I always sa "Thank you" as a sign of appreciation everytime I receive something from anybody.

I always try to say thank you every time I have gift from somebody. So far, I think I always did it. How do I do that? The moment I received a gift, I will immediately say thanks to the person no matter where he or she is. If she give a present but she is far away from me, I will immediately call the person to say thanks or send email.

Hi Mirita. Basically, I don't think I able to understand why people are that stingy about thank you. Haha! I am not sure about how will I react as I never encounter this. Well, I am a lucky one, all my friends will appreciated a lot and send a lot of message for just a simple gift.

Well, God gives us the gift of life and just looking at everything that he created in regards to nature is already a gift.

It’s a good practice to say thank you whenever we receive a gift immaterial whether the gift is small or big, cheap or valuable. My children were cultivated to have this good habit since their childhood. To say thank you after we have received a gift shows that we are really happy with and appreciate what we have received.

i like to say thank you . also i encourage my children to ring up their aunties when they receive a present in the post. its called good manners and my mother taught me. i do know kids who never say thank you and it makes me wonder. even if my kids are staying at a friends house i like to hope they say thank you when theget dinner or lunch. it would be rude to just leave the table. i think people often just forget though , not that theyre badmannered. just a bit thoughtless.

Yes I do say thank you every time I receive a gift not only for that even if some one does nice things or help me to dany kind of work or atleast if they give me a glass of water I say thank you , that is because the other person feels good about or you it is a kind of respect which you are showing towards them , they feel very happy about that, suppose if some tells thanks to us for a moment we feel good. I dont like the people who hate to say thank you , I feel they dont have good manners, Thank you is a short word but it means a lot to me .

Ofcourse I say thank you, it is just a way of showing your appreciation towards someone. Even if I don't like the presents I will say thankyou. It is as they say: The tought that counts
