Okay, I get it now. This "details" section is where the discussion actually starts. This is my 2nd attempt at starting this discussion. We got our dog, (Tino) from an animal shelter when he was 2 years old. He is a full breed Schipperke. He's about 10 years old now. Last year, we brought home a Rat Terrier puppy (Tiny). They provide endless hours of family entertainment. They are about the same size and get along with each other in very much the same way my children often get along with each other. They have jealousy issues. Tiny can't stand for Tino to have any attention. Tino can't stand for Tiny to have any toys. When I pet Tino, Tiny comes running from anywhere in the house and nudges my hand away from Tino. If she is outside and hears me call her, she ignores me. If she hears me call Tino, she runs to me. Before you feel too sorry for Tino, he's not so innocent. Just look at the picture. Can you just read his mind? "Can I eat her now?" Tiny is still pretty much a puppy. So she chews a lot. Tino has no interest in chewing stuff. He just lays around licking stuff. But when he sees Tiny with a chew toy, he casually strolls over to her and just calmly takes it from her. Then her scurries to his cage as fast as his little legs will take his pudgy little body and guards the toy there so she can't get it back. Has any body else had experience with Schipperkees and other dogs?

It's funny dogs are like children..They act like themmost of the time. We use to have a cpl of dogs and they acted the same way...But now we have 2 kitten that is 5months old and they are just like that...I could be petting one and the other one is right there wanting the attention...My one kitten has to be everywhere you are at. I even have hime fallow me in the bathroom and he'll wait till I'm done then he fallows me out and has to be up my butt...

I know what you mean about the pets following you around. I'm allergic to the dogs (ain't that a hoot?) so I have a gate at my bedroom door. When I'm in my room, they wait at the gate. Sometimes, I stand on the other side of the gate and give election speeches. I promise to paint the walls with peanut-butter. The kids laugh and the dogs dance around because they heard one of their favorite words "peanut-butter". They will sit at that gate all day if I don't come out of the room.
