How to fix a bad day

So I did something extremely childish today, but it made me feel sooo good! I've been pretty stressed, and it's easier to take that stress out on strangers than loved ones, so today I closed the office to go grab some lunch. The car practically steered itself into McD's drive thru, which is odd since I NEVER eat there. I pulled up to the order speaker and heard "can I take your order?" I said YES! Yes you can! I'd like a #13, supersized! The voice replied "Maam, we don't have a #13", I said oh I believe you do...it's called a McSuckit! and she said "excuse me?" and I tore out of the drive thru laughing like a high school kid! So that's my advice to everyone, if you are having a bad day and just need some stress relief, go to the Golden Arches and order a #13. What crazy stuff have you done to feel less stressed?

Oh my God you didn't!! Absolutely hilarious! I need to do something like that! Please tell me-- what made you think to do that? Were you planning to order something and just got silly or did you pull into the drive thru with the intention of doing that?

If anything it probably broke the monotony and gave the employees something to talk about! LOL

Oh my God! That is flipping hilarious! I wish I would have seen this post earlier- I am telling you I laughed and laughed when I read it. And boy I needed the laugh today. I wonder if the drive-thru lady laughed also. You know it isn’t just 1 person who can hear you- it’s normally 2 or 3. I bet you were talked about all day- you made their day! I have never done anything that crazy- Sure I’ve gone through the drive- thru and ordered a lot and pulled out- That was all in good fun. And when I was a youngster- You know peer pressure. I’ve also done the old calling someone and asking for someone else- Seamore—you know Seamore buns. : )

I'm glad I could brighten your day a little. Every once in awhile I just snap and do something silly that I find hilarious and others always don't. My sister is gonna flip when she gets her insurance statement this month and it's in Spanish! LOL I also changed my dad's statement so when it arrives it'll be in Chinese! LOL He's always complaining the Chinese are taking over the world, I can't wait til he calls my office to ask WTF!

The only crazy stuff i do is to listen to music. Music is the food to my soul. Its like oxygen to me, so badly i use it to make myself relieved of all the tensions. It makes me forget all my dissappointments all the while i'm listening to. Also it reduces a lot of stress, i feel very lightheaded after listening to it.

I listen to alot of music too. What I'm listening to varies with my mood. My CD collection probably resembles that of someone with multiple personalities! LOL

Well I don't agree about taking it out on someone else. It does happen and we all get stressed but that's no reason to make someone else's day miserable because of it. If I get stressed which I'm lucky to say isn't often I try to meditate. Just relaxing and going inward helps me. I also like to go for walks. Looking at the beauty of the world and nature brings me a sense of awe. A good cry also does wonders.

I usually make every attempt not to take it out on someone else, but it sure beat going home and kicking my dog. You're lucky you have time to meditate and go for walks, etc...Unfortunately I am always either at work, coaching soccer, or surrounded by my own kids. At this point time to myself just isn't an option.
