I never believe in it. But do you think it really works somehow? Have you tried it or are you currently in this kind of relationship? How do you feel? Does it have any advantages at all? I'm just curious about it, can you share me some of your experiences about it?

I was in this kind before. My boyfriend and I were just in a relationship for about 2 months when he was given a chance to work in Japan for 1 year ++. If course, it was never easy. Living a life far from each other. I missed that cuddles, that hugs, kisses, the intimate conversations, in short, I missed the whole of him, his presence. Its as if you have forgotten to do something, it feels like you haven't done a part of your daily routine yet even if the day is about to end already. Its complete. But when I am in this kind of relationship before, I first thought if this 5 letter word - TRUST. Everything else will follow. Communication is a factor too and UNDERSTANDING. There are no advantages actually for me. Maybe you're thinking that I can go out with some other guys without letting him know, or without me worrying that he can catch a scene or whatever. Because my boyfriend and I are open to each other. No worries because we trust each other. Plain and simple. But I like I said, it was never easy. It will depend on both parties. =)

I have a lot of experience with long distance relationships! When my husband and I first started dating, we lived about 4 hours away from each other, so we had to talk on the phone and online a lot and we would visit each other over long weekends. He is in the military, so he has moved around a lot, and our relationship has pretty much always been long distance. Now that we were married, we'll finally get to live together for the first time, but not until he gets home next year from serving overseas. Of course I would love for us to be near each other all the time, but I also think that being apart so much has strengthened our relationship since it makes us appreciate our time together a lot more. :) I think that if you're truly in love with someone, then you can make it work. Even with the long distance between us, I feel much closer to him than I ever did with any of the guys I dated in the past who I got to see every day!
