i use a Eset Nod 32. you have not even heard about it! i know few people know about it as it has been restricted to IT industry but man this anti-virus is better than any of the anti-viruses in the market. I am not saying it but stats do. at first i even dont believed then i gave it a try and it was so good that i had no prob in accepting it. Give it a try

According to the opinion that I had sorted from experts till now, most people have recommended McAfee followed by Norton and AVG. Norton has a tendency to slow down the system a bit. AVG has a free version available as well which you can download from wwww.filehippo.com

I routinely scan my PC with House Call, a free online internet tool available via www.trendmicro.com. It keeps my PC clean, even allowing me to remove adware. I run Windows XP with the firewall on, using the default settings. Since using XP in this way, I have had no virus attacks for about 3 years.

I use ESET Nod32, which I prefer for its efficiency and less resource consumption. I would say it is as equal as norton and at the same time does not slow down your computer.

I think McAfee AntiVirus program would do better job than all the above mentioned antivirus program. I had installed it on my PC and is working very well. Norton is unable to detect all the types of viruses than MacAfee do.
