every successful author must develop their own unique voice. That is one of the reasons why there are so many authors out there. My advice to any aspiring writer is be yourself,be true to what you believe in , and write what you see . In the industry you can expect rejection, critisism, and times when you feel like you just wanna give up and that writing may not be for you. Don't quit, these are the times when the muse test to see how badly you want to "be". Try joining helium or associated content and using their forums and clinics on writing.

I write poems since 2002 and I'm studyng for work like editor. Now is very difficult to publish a book of a new writer: generally they say that more you pay and more you can publish, but I think you can find a very good editor and you could write a book because now on the internet you can find a lot of editors.
