You have seen these drivers, and in the most frightening circumstances, had to drive near them. One hand they hold their cell phone and in the other, something to eat. Phone conversations have shown to cause a distraction. drivers brain is intensly engaged in the conv though it might not seem so. Other things being tryin to change the radio stations, change a cd that is playing, adjust ur bluetooth device and lot of other things. maybe reading news paper even.. what do you think is the greatest problem?? is attending phone afterall a problem??does it really cause accidents??? are there something even more dangerous??

Any kind of distraction, be it eating, applying makeup, talking on cellphones, reading, shaving... will heighten the risk of traffic accidents. I've heard of people getting into traffic accidents while inserting a new CD in their car stereo. I once stopped my own father from driving down the road while reading a manual for his new cellphone. I threatened to jump out of the car if he didn't keep his eyes on the road.

Well its really dangerous, not only for person who is driving and listening food but also for others who are driving around, I had recent example my friend was driving in city and was going bumper to bumper, His cell phone rang twice and he ignored, when cell phone rang third time, he try to se whos calling and suddenly the vehicle at front suddeny apply brake and in seconds he hit that vehicle. Later he had to spend almost US$800 to get his car repaired. while other vehicle was Truck , did not had much losss but if that would be car then he might to pay their loss as well, So obvious, its distracting

i think mobile phones would be the worst distraction, especially if text messaging someone. changing cd is pretty distracting to, thats why i usually just have the radio station on that i like and thats all. sometimes i might put a cd on that i like all the songs and by the time i get from and to the places i want the cd still hasnt finished anyway

Yes i think talking on a cell phone can cause an accident. I know where i live they are making it against the law to be on your phone while driving. And if caught you get a hefty fine. Not very long ago i remember reading a story about this. A girl sent a text message while driving. A minute later someone was calling an ambulance because she was in an accident. I really dont think it should be allowed because you are putting other people at risk.

Whatever distracts your attention while driving is very dangerous. Be it talking on cell, changing the CD, reading something, or even looking back and talking. Yes, one has to be very careful and alert while driving. It takes only a second not even a second to cause an accident. No matter how good drivers you are, distraction of attention can cause accidents. So, please drive safely. Always remember that there is someone waiting for you. Be Safe and take care.

Yes I think this can make bad accident, When you talking on cellphones all your mind is on the talking.you don't have so much time to notice other things .So in this case the accident might occour.

i think the word HELP must not be used in this question it should be CAUSE. of course it can always cause accidents. in here a lot of people in my country met an accident because of using cellphones whiole driving on a crowded place or even on a high way. it is not always good to use phones when driving. traffic police men will ticket the driver if caught using of cellphones when driving or even just texting- the more because when texting you will if possible focus on the letter you are typing. so my advice for you guys out there who is fun of texting or calling while driving. stop it as soon as you could or never ever do that anymore.
