That's right, I dare you! I dare you to try something new.
Do you always eat the same old foods and stick with the same brands? Or do you try out something different for a change?
When you do your food shopping do you always buy the same brands and the same types of foods or do you wenture out and try different brands and different things?
Cereal for example. A lot of people always buy the same old, Cheerios, raisin bran, cornflakes and maybe some Lucky Charms for the kids.
When I buy cereal I like trying different things, like the other day I bought one called Honey Bumpers. It looked plain and it was a brand I never heard of but I figured I give it a try and I love it! It actually tastes like real honey and not just similar to honey.
Yes, occasionally I end up with food that tastes so grosse it makes me question why it's even legal to be sold lol.
But I think trying different foods and diferent brands adds a little spice and excitement to the daily kitchen routine. I am one who loves to experiment a bit, but there are certain foods I will shy away from and refuse to try.
Chicken feet for example. there is no way in hell that will ever pass my lips or my kitchen thresh hold lol.
Do you try new things or do you prefer to stick with the same old routine, brands and foods?

haha I had to respond to a dare! I love a challenge! But food? Ok basically this is the only reason I won't try out for shows like Fear Factor. They always make people eat something completely gross like slugs or something just as nasty.
Seriously, I try to occasionally try something new but not too often. I'm a creature of habit and comfort. I like my southern staples and so does my family. I do like to try something new when I go out to eat though. I like to go to a new restaurant and order something I have never eaten before. No chicken feet for me either.

Yes I draw lines at certain foods lol. I love ordering stuff I never ate at restaurants, considering it doesn't tip the grosse scale lol.
The other day I ordered something called a Monte Christo. It's an open faced sandwich made out of turkey, ham and melted swiss cheese on french toast and I put strawberry jam on it. Actually it's suppose to be eaten with raspberry sauce I later found out lol. It was delicious though, but I think my husband was ready to have me committed LMAO.
