I've been hacked & I ain't happy

Yep, it's a rant! Some idiotic moron with nothing better to do has hacked my damn space! I actually had a p*rn comment FROM MYSELF on my profile today. Of course I immediately deleted it and changed my password. Once done with this part of it, I received a message from a good friend telling me about the comment on her page & another one similar from a mutual friend. These two friends I speak of are friends from school, I actually know them offline. Neither one of them are the hacking/phishing type. They are like me, in college late in life with kids to raise, etc., so the thought that it might be one of them is OUT. Now, I did receive a weird comment several days ago from the third friend (the one who has also been hacked), now I know it wasn't from her. I can't believe I actually thought it was. Doesn't this azzhole know what I would do to him/her if I had a chance in hell of finding out who did it? GRRRRR...Let's just say they'd live to tell the next azzhole to pick somebody else 'cause I ain't the one. This type of thing is what makes my blood boil. If ya got something against me, have some nads and bring it to me like an adult. Don't go behind my back like the coward you are (this is rhetorical, I do not mean you personally) and try to cost me my friends. Oh lovely, now my damn cousin (the one from previous discussions that I am no longer speaking to) is letting my phone ring off the hook. I was having a good day. No classes. No kid (his mom came after him for the weekend). Sure my grandma is in the hospital, but they know it's pneumonia now and my dad expects her to survive...other than that I was having a pretty mellow day, even the neocons hadn't dragged me down into the depths of the famous redhead pissy mood thus far. There, I picked up & hung up. Hope she gets the hint. Now, back to the main rant. What type of azzhole would try to cost someone their friends' and that kind of risk to their friends' computers? I'll tell ya what type: the lily-livered, cowardly, no-nads, sneaky & underhanded type that would still kiss your behind to your face, that's what type. Sure, I'll admit I've hacked a friend or two and done some pranking like putting a naked man's behind on my 21 year old cousin's profile or changing a friend's song to mess with them, but it was easy to do since they gave me their passwords. Yeah, my hometown friends and I play weird, but we are in fact ONLY PLAYING. I would never post comments under their names or send out bulletins under their names, etc. Have you ever had anything like this happen to you? Don't you just hate it when you have no idea with whom you should be angry? What would you do? What can you do in this situation? Thanks for letting me rant, fellow Lotaholics. As always, I feel much better now that I've raged it out. Ciao4now

I had my myspace profile phished one time and then I started doing research and have not had a problem since. It is a lot of info, but once I am able to copy and paste, I will post how to avoid the phishers from getting your profile. I know most of my friends and know when their profile is phished, I then tell them to read my blog on it and so far, the same ones have not gotten phished again either. So hopefully in the next day or 2 I will post that here.

Will you come back and let me know when you've posted this info, please? I'm slammed with work & studies and don't have extra time for researching right now. Thanks very much for sharing.

As soon as I read your post, I had to rush over and check my Myspace profile to make sure mine wasn't hacked! Whew! So far I'm safe....knock on wood. I'm sorry that whatever jerk it was ruined your day for you hon. I think that people that do that kind of stuff are so disrespectful, and they definitely have waaayyyy too much time on their hands. I'm glad you feel better now after letting all of that out. Now.....breathe in.....breathe out. Now you can relax and hopefully enjoy the rest of your day in peace.

Thanks, Katlady. I do feel much better now for having let that out as well as discovering only approximately 18-20 friends out of nearly 400 were affected by it. I was also able to delete these bogus comments and go about having my coffee & visiting with family that had stopped by while they were out this way. (This is me breathing in and out, lol)
