Do you like it when your hubby or boyfriend goes away for a couple of days? I do in the beginning because I can eat whatever I want. And whenever I want.LOL I dont have to fix a big dinner just make sandwich or if I want have a bowl of ice cream for dinner.LOL But I start to miss him after a couple of days. Does this happen to you?

I do until bedtime then I get lonely for him and start missing him something bad. But we have been together for 11 years and only been away from each other for 4 times for the whole night, twice when I had our kids, once the night before we got married and one time last summer when he went to Texas.

I went to spend the night at a local casino as I had a free room. It's about 50 miles away only. the wife had to work so I was going alone. Came the time I was done gambling I went to my room for a good sleep. Well I missed the wifes body next to me in the bed so I drove home to be with her. HAHAHAHA!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

When my husband, was working, away from home, I was soooo happy. It was literally the most peaceful time of my life. It was wonderful, coming home from work, to a peaceful house. I didn't have to argue, or listen to his nonstop complaints. My answer is a great big yes, yes, yes. I love it! I wish he'd go away forever. lol

Well I hardly run across this. The only times I do is when my wife stays at our daughters house. But now I try to get away a lot for a couple reasons. One reason is to get free of the stress of taking care of my father 24/7. Let me tell you this is VERY stressful. Then I also like to get away just to be away from all the family and friends and go up north to the farm for some peace and quiet for a weekend. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My husband is military so he is gone a lot, for months at a time. I used to have a REALLY hard time dealing with it. Now it's not as if I like it, but I am used to it. The first couple weeks are usually hard and the last couple of weeks are hard because of the anticipation. The hardest part for us is the adjustment period after he has been gone. We both get used to doing things our own way. My husband and I are best friends though, so neither one of us is happy about it when he has to leave.

Mmm--I think we're going to have to watch you and those wild parties you're going to have, staying up until dawn, playing music loud, dancing on top of the table with a lampshade on your head--hey, that sounds like fun, can I come over? LOL Well I'm not married nor have a boyfriend...sniff..sniff..YET--the only thing I can relate to here was years and years ago when both my mom and grandmother were alive and they went away on vacation and I was home alone--I loved it!! Uh, no, didn't have wild parties...but it was nice to "bend" the house rules--I mean everyone usually does follow some kind of "rules"...go to bed when I wanted to, get up when I wanted to, eat when I wanted..ah, nice freedom..Now I have that all the time..though I'm still a stickler for "some" discipline, but I enjoy that freedom--

My husband doesn't go away very often, and if he does, it's only for a few days. He did go away once for a week, and all my friends felt so sorry for me, I was invited out by a different friend every day. I have no idea why, they just thought I should stay busy.

I don't like it when my husband has to take business trip, because I worry about him eating right etc.. I don't miss him though. As and Army brat and then an Army wife, I am used to long seperations from my family members. I do hope he has to go less as we get older tho, getting old is scary. What if I break a hip while he's gone?! Oh my...

ha, yeah... I do tend to over think at times. The reality is that I have three very competent teenagers, and they would take care of me just fine. After answering this post, I noticed that I forgot to say that he calls each evening when he's gone and that annoys the heck out of me. You would think a grown man could be away from his wife a few weeks and not be so sappy about it. It's embarassing to all mankind! Silly men.

it does not only happen to you ladies also to us men. We all need some space from time to time but it does not mean we love each other less.It is part of our relationship with people.Haven't you notice that with our bestfriends if we are always together ? we still need that private space to keep us in-tack or in touch with ourselves. It would even make our relationship better, stronger and healthier.

Sometimes I do- but then I get so lonely after a while - and of course both dogs follow me everywhere - (cause daddy ins't there). My husband went away for a week without me once and I hated it- I can deal with a coupld of days but a week is to much.

All the time. I do miss him mostly at nights but not so much during the day because I have my son and he keeps me busy and I feel that I am not all alone. The nights are the hardest for me!

I can relate completely. Especially to the bowl of ice cream for dinner if I want. I usually miss him in the morning after he has been gone only one day. That is because I have become extremely spoiled to having coffee brewed and ready for me to stumble into the kitchen and pour a cup. And then twenty minutes later I miss him again because I've grown spoiled to him straightening the bed while I am waking up over my coffee. I guess I am a bit spoiled. ;-P

No I can honestly say that when mine is gone I really enjoy it. The whole bed to myself, the tv all to myself, everything all to myself...LMAO. I am really not happy in my relationship right now, but even when I am happy I am glad to see him go. Not for long periods of time but for a few days is good.

I know what you mean exactly. I do not have the "few days' experience but as from morning to evening everyday these few months i do the same you told, like what i want to eat and when i want to, not at a fixed time or fixed menu for dinner or lunch. I like to eat in this way, Well, I do not have a couple of days but i feel boring sometime during the day and upset too much sometime but as I have this online friends, i can manage it anyway.

I dont like even in the beginning. I hate seeing my husband walking out in our door knowing that he will not be with us for how many months. Since my husband is working abroad and staying there for 3months it is so sad and honestly I always cry coz im longing to him so much, before his contract was 8-9 months and its so sad being alone in my house specially when i've got pregnant and have son, though he is with me when i gave birth to our son but it is so sad looking forward that I have to raise my son with me alone sometimes when he is onboard. Luckily that he found a new company and get a shorter term being onboard now his contract is only 3 months abroad and 1 1/2 stay here, its good for us now that our son is growing up and needs his attention most, but of course with the help of new technologies like cellphone and of internet, this will help relieve the pain for a while and make lessen the saddess that me and my son feel when he is away.
