Well its always better to get your HS diploma if its possible. It is wonderful that you got your GED though. You can do anything you set your mind too.

They're just as good as each other, if we're talking about getting a job. All jobs ask for (unless you need a higher degree) is High School Diploma/GED. They can't refuse you because you have your GED and not Diploma, because the State offers the GED as a substitute. Hope that helps!

I understand that, but my point is do ppl look at it differently cuz for me all i had to do was take the pretest, and pay for the real test, and i passed. what im trying to say is that i think ppl see ged as the easy way out, and high school diploma as perservereance, that u got through high school. Cuz i HAD rpt HAD to drop out it was WAY to much drama for me, and I already had twin toddlers by then.

I was real close to dropping out of school; couldn't stand the authority, but I kept telling myself that I had to get that diploma. No one has ever asked to see it. There is always a box to check on job applications referring to your level of education, but I've never had to produce it.

I was homeschooled, so I got a GED. Didn't stop me from getting into college or getting a job.

One advantage to having a GED, as opposed to a regular diploma, is you can take adult-ed classes for free! This includes the Medical Assistant, and Medical Billlng courses that could land you a good job in a year or less.
