Hello all,I need some help. As some of you may know, I have three children, all girls. They are also biracial, white/african-american. Their hair is naturally curly. My two youngest girls I have no problem with their hair, but my oldest has more course hair and it frizzes like you wouldn't believe. I have to keep her hair up in ponytails because of this. I have tried everything from relaxers to lotions to gels to everything in between. Maybe I'm not using the right product, I don't know. I could really use any help or advice that you could give. Thank You.

Thank you for your tip, if the items I bought tonight don't work, I will sure give that a try. I saw the 24/7 creme tonight, but wasn't sure about it. So since someone other than me would use it, I think I will try it.

I have naturally curly hair and hated it growing up. Relaxers may not be the only thing you need to use. I use Sunsilk anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner. It works really well. I think thats a lot of it too. Keeping her hair well conditioned. I've also used a leave in conditioner by Tresseme. I use Sauve smoothing cream and Suave anti-frizz gel..then add a little hairspray and it seems to stay under control. Also, its best to let her hair air dry and don't wash it everyday. Her hair needs time to let the oils build up. So at minimum...every other day on washing her hair.

Believe it or not about an two hours ago, I was in Wal-Mart and asked the saleslady if she could recommend a good shampoo for frizzy hair and she recommended the Sunsilk anti-frizz. I bought some and we are going to try it out tomorrow. Thanks for the tip about the leave in conditioner from Tresseme. I think I will try that too. There are so many different brands it is hard to choose which one to spend your money on. But I will try the Tresseme. Thank you again for your advice.

Frizz ease makes a product that is a volume reducer, Ive used it myself and it works to help keep the hair compact and from getting too poofy. But, it does have a gell crunchieness to it if you use alot, which for a child may not be what to are looking for. With my hair I need a combination of products to really keep it under control, I might use the poof treatment with dream curls by the same company and the frizz serum. I had a freind who used a detangler for kids by one of the relaxer companies that worked well, have you tried the pink oil?

Thank You HomeCooked, I have tried the Frizz Ease and Frizz Serum. I have also use Pink Oil on her hair often. I haven't thought about detangler though, that really might help with combing. Thank You again for your input.
