My daughter, who is a Registered Nurse, and is currently a clinical instructor in our university, took the NCLEX Exams conducted in Manila last August 28. Yesterday, she got the result through the internet, and was overjoyed to know the good news. Actually, she took and passed the CGFNS two years ago, and is now on packet 3 with her US visa...hopefully, once she reaches packet 4, she will make it to a hospital in California which hired her last year. Please help me pray that it will come to a reality. This is really her lifetime dream...I'm just sharing with you how happy I am for my daughter...happily, many relatives, friends texted to congratulate her...As a mother, it's just but natural to feel so excited and thrilled that she will soon be given a greater opportunity to grow professionally....

You must be very proud! When I passed my NCLEX I was thrilled to join the nursing profession whihc had been a dream of mine since childhood. I know how my Mom felt during my graduation. For you to watch your daughters dreams come true must be a dream come true of your own. I hope that she will be able to come to California. The nursing shortage in the U.S. is growing worse every year.

Thanks Cammeel1...I guess your mom must have felt the same way I felt...yup, it's really a dream come true. There is an exodus now on the nursing profession because of that big promise to work abroad. That hospital in California which hired her spent for her NCLEX, two months review, and travel to Manila when she took the exams. Now, she's just waiting for her visa to be released, with the employer also processing it. God is so good to have blessed her with that kind of arrangement. I heard that some applicants use their own money for those expenses, which were all shouldered by my daughter's employer-hospital. I'm grateful to you, too...

Congratulations! I know how it feels 'cause I'm also a nurse, passed the NCLEX-RN exam too.=) I wish and hope and pray that everything will work out fine with all of us nurses soon...this retrogression is going nowhere and yes, we all wanted to work where the grass is greener, as they say. =) Goodluck to your daughter, psyche49f! God bless!
