How would you take Criticisms?

Is it easy for you to realize your mistakes, to admit and ask for your short-comings? I would like to borrow a quote from the movie Spiderman, as the saying goes, "With great POWERS, comes great RESPONSIBILITY." How would you define this, what does it mean for you? Because there are times that we don't mean to hurt or step on someone, that we'll only realize one's a third person tells us what we've actually did. Let's say, an accident or an unavoidable mistake (correct me if I'm wrong). Also would you accept being corrected by someone that is more subordinate to you, let's say you're a supervisor and the other is just a janitor? You're an educated person and the other has less educational background, would you compare him to you and tell that person that he has no right because he don't know anything? This again is just a simple issue, that needs simple yet "truthful" answers. I can tell from one's response, what kind of people you are. So do your best, enjoy and happy posting!;)

It depends on what mistake I made and how small or big of a mistake it was. If its a bit thing and affected more than one person then i am readily able to admit what I did wrong and try my best to correct it. Even so, I think I hate to admit that I am wrong but will do so because I feel a lot of guilt when I don't even if it is small. I feel a lot better when I confess that I did a mistake and go on from there. I treat everyone with respect no matter what job each person is in and if a janitor has a suggestion or is being critical then I will talk to him/her the same way i would talk to my supervisor. I would not put them down just because their position is lower than mine. Everyone has an opinion and needs to be heard. If they are respectful in their delivery and give positive criticism then that is ok with me. Its when it becomes negative, then I will have something more to say about that. If its constructive and positive then my all means i don't mind the criticism at all and will accept it and respond to it if i need to. I can only learn from it im sure.

Once you have money, know how to handle or manage your money and do not use it to buy friends or buy yourself around. If you are in authority learn and be aware of its limitations so as not to abuse it to gain artificial respect from people.Do not mix professional responsiblity with your personal responsibility, let us say you are appointed to supervise or manage a task then whatever you do and decide should be in the context of your responsibility and if it goes beyond your professional bound then that becomes personal , especially if you questioned ones stature and comparing him to you. As to taking criticisms, one should take it like a grain of salt, don't let it affect you but learn from it whether it is true or not.You might learn something from it.

Yes, I am glad that I have friends since my childhood. I don't have to look for others or buy one just to have one, I can say that we do have a VERY healthy relationship with one another, because we don't expect anything from one another. What we can give, is enough and we understand each other. We don't value friendships because of MONEY, but it is build with trust and respect.

There are some reasons why we do this, what's important is others would also understand that we are just humans!;)

i think that what spider man said is right and true because God would never give you something which you will never use for others. and also whatever actions that you are capable of, you are responsible of it. with great power comes great potentialities and this potentialities can have advantages and disadvantages. the greater the potential, the greater the risks and the greater the responsibilty,

I certainly agree the need to shoulder great responsibility comes as a result of having great powers. When one has power, one can do a lot of things and hence one should be responsible for what one has created. This is only fair. Hence, if criticism arises because of our actions, it is only fair that we take it wholeheartedly unless the criticism has intent to malign.

I just take it is easy, It is easy for me to realize and admit my mistakes if it is really a mistakes. No body's perfect and we have all mistakes so why afraid to admit it. I'm just sometimes happy that someones correct me if I'm wrong at least I will find time to correct them with the help of others. It is not such a big deal for me if someones told me that I commit a mistakes.

That's true, the best thing is we do learn from it and try to avoid not to commit another one!;)
