What part of your routine gets sacrificed when you are late?

Say you are like me and snoozed that clock 5 too many times. Or maybe the electricity went out, your batteries died... whatever happened, you woke up way too late for your normal morning routine. So what part of your primping and getting ready is sacrificed? Since I NEVER get up easrly enough to shower (I shower at night), I have to skip the make-up. I HAVE to brush my teeth and hair, but I can skip the make-up.

Ooooo good question. This has changed for me over the years depending on my job. But now that I am a mom I admit that I will get everything done for my son to have a successful day and leave a lot undone for myself. One thing I can not skip is a shower. Two reasons for this, one; I never feel like I wake up fully without a shower, two; I have thick, crazy curly hair and after a nights sleep it is all but impossible to do anything with it unless I wet it thoroughly. So, while it may be a quick three minute, just-let-the-water-wash-over-me shower, I simply must have a shower to have a good day. If really, really pinched for time I will brush my teeth in the shower.... can't go without that either.

I usually have to sacrifice time spent with my dog.I sometimes just have to give her food and water. Then leave. She normally wants to play for 30 minutes when we get up and before I have to leave for work.

Oh, I forgot about breakfast. That's another thing I NEVER have time for. I don't even have time to grab something for the road. Fortunatly, at my clinic job, they cater breakfast 2 of the 3 days I work, so I get breakfast once I get to work.

I'm the same as you - never quite getting up early enough to shower before I head off for the day. I've always preferred showering and being clean at night anyway. I don't wear makeup, and my hair doesn't need brushing, as it is curly. If I'm running really late, I skip breakfast and teeth brushing, and grab some gum and a snack asap.

So your routine is pretty easy since you don't have to shower, brush your hair, or wear make-up. I used to not wear make-up, but I do have to do something with my hair. I'm a tossy-turny sleeper, so it usually looks like a rat nest in the morning.
