Is Computer Fashionable????????

They are not as heavy as they used to be. 30 years ago... they weighted a ton. You needed a truck to move them and they would not fit in your living room. Televisions have been around for 50 years... and still are not that much lighter than those made 50 years ago. While their LCD screen has recently made them lighter... their larger screen still make they heavy. So I am not sure what you are saying. If you are saying that small and light is fashionable... you are right. But is it practical? Not always. When it comes to televisions and computer monitors... people dream of having the biggest screen on the market... and don't care if it is heavy or not. With computers... you want a box big enough to put in several hard drives and DVD burners and players. Plus half a dozen cards for your sound, video... etc... You can buy a laptop... but it does not give you the flexibility of a desktop. You can get a laptop which can be as good as a desktop... but it will cost you 4 times more than the desktop. 30 years ago... it was fashionable to have the biggest of everything. Fashion is a crazy thing which is not always in our best interest. 30 years ago we had big cars... and when something broke down... everything was easily accessible and could be repaired very rapidly. Today with smaller cars... you almost need to take the engine out to replace a spark plug. And that is very costly. Small is expensive to make... expensive to repair... and often cannot be repaired. I'll take the big stuff any day.
