What's your "only" town in your neck of the woods? Just off the top of my head, I know there is another Fairmount, but I don't remember what state it is in. There's a Marion in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio that I am aware off. There's a Jonesboro in several other states, offhand I'm only remembering Georgia & Kentucky. I know there are tons more in the U.S., but can't think of any more atm. Those of you who live in other countries, do you have duplicate city/town names at all?

I'm almost certain theres a couple of hull city names over in America also in our town of hull we have little seperate parts called different names such as anlaby, bransholme and hessle and I'm sure hessle is twinned with bourg de thizzy(?) in France. Also in an unrelated matter the name wayne tully is quite popular and there is some kind of driving instructor or someone in america who thought he could beat my link popularity...I've set him straight!

Manitou is about the 'only' town in our neck of the woods. We live Southwestern Manitoba...and many think the name of our town puts our location...way up North on an Aboriginal Reserve. We have others around us like Miami, Pilot Mound, Snowflake, Winkler, Morden...Portage La Prairie, Brandon...and of course, Winnipeg, the capitol city of Manitoba. All those name are within the 'only category too. Of course our cities and towns are more spread out because Canada does not have the population base of the U.S. So there you go...so long for now. I posted a comment and image on your site. Twoey showed me how...and I wanted to let you know that your friendship means a lot to me.

Wow, sounds like you are from a land of originality whereas it appears I am from the land of copycats, lol. The hubs mentioned to me earlier today that every state in the landlocked Union has a Marion in it! OY! Good ole Twoey. Bless her heart. I'll go look at the comment now (thanks in advance). I had forgotten that there was a place for that here (duh!). You are an awesome pal, Raia. You have no idea how much I look forward to hearing from you. Many of the inspirations to be better than I am, I receive from reading your take on things. Someday hopefully we can make time for a road trip & that case of coffee. ((hugs)) Shannon
