Harry Potter the Musical...

Wow, I wonder how's it going to be?! I'm a big fan of Harry Potter eversince, I will definitely consider watching the show as long as I can afford the ticket price =)

seriously, it's impossible to combine all 7 books into one musical. but, we'll never know. where did you hear that news?

I would imagine that it would be a very stylized version of things that focuses on just a couple of plot elements. It's hard enough to take one of the books to movie form because they are so long and detailed. I can't imagine trying to condense all seven books into one reasonably cohesive and not overly long show. Being a HP fanatic, though, if this does happen, I'm sure I"ll be interested in seeing it!

o my gudness. they would have to have a really talented team to be able to condense all 7 books and come up with great scores. i just can't imagine any of them singing and dancing on stage!

I think that the notion is utterly absurd. The first time I heard it I thought it must be the hopeful musings of some fan who just can't let go of the series now that it's completed. I have since learned otherwise. Why would anyone do something like this? No, I will not be seeing it.

Sure, if they can fly and run through stone walls, then they can probably sing and dance. I would watch it! I love musicals.

I don't think that they could condense the entire 7 books into one musical, the movies are already too short in my opinion, they missed too much out of the fourth, so I thihnk all of them onto one is going to be too short. I'd go see it though.

I can't imagine how they are going to put the seven books with its several thousand pages into one show... But I love musicals and I'd still go and see it. Especially, as London is not so far from here. But you have a point about Snape singing and dancing... perhaps just singing in his case? That, at least, I could imagine.
