between love and like

many chinese say littlte love, even between the lovers and families.
the way they espress love is to say like and few children say i love you when they call their parents.
anybody wants to share your opinion about the difference between love and like with me?!!!

hi,as you are from singapore i suppose maybe we could talk in chinese,^_^,i am a college student in NingBo of Zhejiang province in china.
it's ture in china people don't like to use the word love,even lovers to my own experience we use the word like much more often.i think it's a custom distinguish.
Love in Chinese is a very former word,you can see it frequently in millions of articles,however like we use it more ordinary in the daily life.

In fact,love is shown through act not only the words.many chinese say little love,because they keep the word deep in their heart and do every important thing to the one or ones they truely care about.
like is another feeling different from love. like means wanting to be with happily,but love means wanting to share with,to stand with and to be with happily or painfully.
i have read that:love means that you see one person not perfect perfectly.
don't love someone easily.don't say love to someone easily. if you do so ,please love him/her for your life.
