I got an email from friend. It's actually an open letter of a radio host from Nevada. He is pertaining to all Filipinos around the globe. I will not write here the entire email that he announced and reannounced at 400 stations accross his country but I will just qoute one of the most hurtful words I ever heard from a foreigner like him. He said that "To all Filipino people, please recognize your roots! You came from a third world! Your country is a disgusting and filthy place. Most of filipinos live in poverty! Your culture has MUCH MORE OF SPANISH influence than Chinese, and absolutely no Japanese whatsover. People in Japan and China do not act like you." "Nothing good has ever come from Philippines and I dont believe anything good either" Those are just some of the hurtful words he said against us. It's as if Filipinos should not live anywhere. Is this the way foreigners think about us? Because I tell you, we are all human and everybody deserve a place wherever we are. Yes, we might belong to a third world country but definitely we are not an idiot just like this host trying to point out. We live a borderless world and thus not belong to Americans, European, Japanese nor Chinese alone. This world is made by God and God made us all so everyone of us has right to live and have a good life. I'm just wondering if you too think this way? Because if you are thinking just like this radio host then I piety you because you dont know what it should like to have a filipino around you. America, Japan, China or even other country are not perfect. We all have our own trash to deal with.
