I hate being bashed by someone who doesnt know me, dont you?

Here is the story I have an item for sale on ebay that came from the town i use to live in. I had someone else from Greensburg send me a nasty e-mail in the questions about item. This is what they sent me.
"Are you even from Greensburg? How did you get this brick, supposedly from our highschool, to sell? This is a absurd auction. People who use our disaster for their own good, instead of donating the proceeds to the disaster relief fund, are SICK. How do you sleep at night? "
I lost 2 cars and furniture and pictures just like the people who were there that night did. Unlike some of them I wasnt compensated for the lost cars(neither was my cousin). I wont send anything to the disaster relief fund because the people who were supposed to get the money hasnt gotten it.The federal government is already investigating the city government because of this. Anyone who knows me knows that I will help people anytime I can.I do and have doen this many times before. Even to the point of hurting us financially at times.
How would you feel if someone said this to you?

They are just everywhere and it is awful how People can be so nasty and evil

Wow, you never told me about that when I talked toyou on the phone earlier. Did they give you their name? I might know them as I lived there longer than you did.This pis*es me off. If people don't know you then they shouldn't judge you. But then hypocrites abound in that little town of horrors. That is why they don't like me there because I told then the truth about things. I did not go behind their backs saying things things and If I had it would have been the facts. If I didn'tknow them them then I wouldn't say them. Sounds like a witch that lived to the East on your side of the street. And East ofme on the other side of the street.

Jeanena, There are some mean and vicious people out there.Also very judgemental.I too have an ebay site and if a book gets lost in the mail I have received rude emails.I too am a most giving person and will add things sometimes to orders, either more fabric or more books depending on person and circumstance. I am a single mom with little income due to back injury and fibermyalgia.I do not have money to cover PO mistakes!
I find people judge us without knowing us online.Tho hurtful it is THEIR ignorance not US that is the problem.
You and others know your true heart so be encouraged!! I have also met some really good people out there too.

Irishmom, first let me say welcome to Mylot I hope you have a great time here and make lots of friends.I did take some advice from their second email no matter how hateful it was meant to be .I added to my auction description and said what the proceeds were for.Thank you for responding!

I can't believe someone would say something like this without knowing the person. This is the type of person who has an opinion for everything even if they don't know what they are talking about. Don't let this bother you because you know that you are a good person inside.

I would be hurt that someone would have the nerve to email something like this to me without knowing me but wouldn't bother to respond back . There is some place that you can block individuals from ever contacting you again and I would be sure to block them as you don't want this individual trying to buy something from you at a later date and causing problems . Anyone who would waste their time to send out a nasty email like this is only someone who likes to hurt others and has a lot of spare time to waste . They are not worth your time or effort in ansering back to them . Try not to take it to hard , those who know you , know that you are not trying to make a profit off of something tragic and those are the people who are important and the only people who should mattter . Take Care .

That was very rude of them to say that to you. I would have also sent them an email back and told them what i thought of them. I cant believe that people who were promised to get help didnt receive it. Good luck to you.

You've already done your part in explaining to them (as you have here) the reasons for your not donating to the relief fund. Maybe they don't share your views. I, however, agree with you that you're not taking advantage of other people's pain, but merely looking after your own family when those who should extend you some relief don't.
