I have looked at this book, Freakonomics, in the bookstore several times before. The cover is fascinating, with the apple/orange graphic. But I never paid all that much attention to it. Then I checked it out of the library and the book is amazing. I'm not all the way through it yet, but it is astonishing to me how a change in perspective can totally alter the way you look at things. I like the way these guys think. It's a cool mind exercise. Who has read it? What do you think? http://www.freakonomicsbook.com/

I read it when I took an economics class a few years ago. It is an intriguing read, I liked the chapter that was something about how abortion decreased poverty or something. And the part about how what you name your children determines where they'll end up in life. It would be cool to see a sequel to this book, since there is still so much they could touch upon.

Yeah, I agree about the sequel. I have heard it's in the works, but I don't know when it will come out. I really love the way this book looks at things. The abortion and crime rate thing was really intriguing. There's often more than one way to look at things and I like the way these guys think. Agree or disagree with them, you have to admit that they make good points, right? Thank you so much for responding!
