The city has grown by leaps and bounds, traffic jams are commong sight and to traverse the distance, ambulance driving takes time, though they put the siren on.

Morning, ssh. I have not experienced any kind of such a case as to make an emergency call. But I think that it will not take long to call one to come in emergency in the city where I live since it is not a big one.

In 1980's when an ambulance ring is heard, people used to come out of the house to see what is happening. Now it is a common sound heard every hour in the street. That many big city, more problems, more accidents, more deaths.

I live on a pretty big Marine Base, I would say it would take them about 10 minutes to get here

I have seen several of local movies which were shot in US, having a hospital scene and an accident spot. The hospitals are spacious with good lawns. Here most of the hospitals are having less space even to receive the ambulence inside hospital, so much so at the doors of operation theatre. Civic authorities should give permission to hospitals which have sprawling spaces not just a commercial building. with inadequate parking space. You said 10 minutes that is quite reasonable. In Bangalore city, it may take anytime between 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the hospital and there are several instances of people dying before they reach the hospital.

Medium size hospital is nearby and when called, an ambulance take 20 to 30 minutes to reach my place. If there is no traffic, it takes only 10 minutes.

Hi Sadaananda, for this topic, I am not sure about the answer. Perhaps, we need 20-30 minutes, although there are quite many hospitals here, it takes time for them to arrive in in such a busy city. Andy
