What's one thing you've never been able to do - but wish you could?

For me its drive. I don't wish it too hard but it would be nice. I have a touch of dyspraxia so its safer for other drivers and of course pedestrians if I don't. So I never went for my license. This could also be filed under - things I wish people would stop asking me about. Its a fact in my life, please respect it I want to say, but find myself repeating my reasons. They never hear, its - oh we're gonna get you on the road!

Actually, mine is the exact same as yours. I'm almost 27 and I've never had a driver's license. For me the reason I didn't get it as a teenager was because I was in a really messed-up family situation and just didn't get a chance to do it, but later on every time I even thought about driving something would come up with my health. Right now I couldn't drive even if I had my license because of my vertigo, and it gets annoying that people keep asking me and acting all shocked when they find out I don't drive.

Same with me, even without dyspraxia - If I all of a sudden got a blinding migraine, where I was in extreme pain, dizzy and having eye problems - accidents would ensue. A friend of mine passes out intermittedly and claims her doctor isn't concerned - she still drives which I think is a danger to others. Why do you have vertigo - must be so hard......

It's from an inner ear disorder called "Meniere's disease". Typically it causes acute attacks of vertigo, as well as hearing loss, ear pain/fullness, and other symptoms. The weird thing about my case is that right now I've had the vertigo all the time for almost 3 months. My ear-nose-throat doctor, my neurologist, and my regular doctor are all stumped. I'm actually going to see another doctor on the 10th about possibly having surgery on my ears because none of the medicines we have tried are working.

I wish I could fly an aircraft and could swim like a fish in the water. I am very poor at swimming.

Paint. I see so many things in nature that I wish I could reproduce on canvas to share with others. I have always had a desire but no ability for the visual arts.

I love to travel and I've been all over the US, Canada and Mexico. But I have always wanted to visit my Grandfather's family in Italy and spend a nice vacation in Australia or Ireland. The only thing stopping me is actually getting on a plane. The thought does not sit well with me.

who knows, technology is happening, and maybe one day you will be the proud owner of one of those self driving cars. before 2002 i wanted to go straight up the corporate ladder, but an accident left me somewhat disabled. now i just want to run. but thats a dream i may never have. i lost my job after the accident, and i have yet to find another ladder to climb. always wanted my own business though.
