Are school lunches healthy enough for our kids?

It all really depends on the school, school board etc. Here in Newfoundland, the school hires a company that does only healthy lunches to run their cafeteria. They also send home a menu so that we can choose what our child eats each day if it is not sent in with them. We also have monitors to make sure that the children eat their own lunch, to make sure that every child has a lunch etc. I was watching that show The Biggest Loser and when they went in and met the "cafeteria lady from hell" as I call her, I was appalled. They fed the children such greasy, fatty, non-nutritious meals it was scary. And what really tops it off is that the school boards approve of those meals at that school, and then complain and act like they support the fight against child obesity! Unreal if you ask me.
