I live in India. As of my opinion, some products having "made in china" are really good. and moreover these cost really less than their branded counterparts. but sometimes, occasions have come when they really don't work! i think this is the case with any brand available all over the world!

one of my friends said that "made in china" always means "big brand", for only big companies are able to make their products in china and sell all over the world. :)

I automatically think of the people who might have made the product and I automatically have the opinion that those people were treated inhumanely. I think of the recalls and wonder if the product is safe or not and then place it back on the shelf. I understand that every company has had their recalls and China is having their day at the moment. But that doesn't give China the right to treat their own people so horribly and I want them to stop.

Well, I guess you can throw in factory workers to my statement but what I was talking about is China's persecution of free thinkers, as well as religious persecution. Most importantly though, I recently read an article that quoted a few couples from China, that stated China forces pregnant women to undergo abortions when they are only days away from their due date. Two women in the article both stated that people broke into their homes during the night, took them out of their beds and to a place where, while those people held them down, a doctor came and performed an abortion. The article was in my local newspaper and was from Associated Press. Can you confirm if it is rumor or fact? Thank you.

i'm sorry that i didn't see it until now. i think china in your image is absolutely not the true one. media is the way to let people know the world but now always accurately. in many newspapers and magazines, china is described as a big country with big population of farmers. if you have ever come to china or just ask some people who have ever come here, they will give you different anster. i'm not sure that what pressed in the newspaper is true or not, what i'm sure is that you can't be sure of the same except you are one of them. there's only one truth in the world, if you what know it, do it.

it's ture that some children ahd female are paid unfairly and even asked to work overtime, but i think most of workers are treat normally in china. female are being treated differently to male is common all over the world i think, not only in china, but can't be said to be right.

China is a country where manpower is very cheap, so many companies have their factories there. This is a problem of globalization, that is capitalism brought to the extreme. In this way we can have cheap products from China but we haven't factories in countries like USA and Europe any more. So in those countries we have less places of job.

maybe that's because china has the largest population in the world. although the development rate of economic is high every year, the gap between the wealthy and the poverty are more biger. meybe how to develop the GDP per person is the foremost thing the government should think about.
