Has anyone reached payout at Helium?

Have you reached payout at Helium? If you did, how did you do it? How many articles did you write? Where/how did you promote your articles or did you you promote them? How long did it take you? Is anyone getting payout at a regular basis like once a month?

No I haven't reached the payout yet. I have written 8 artciles and I have joined them for a few months. I am on $8. It's possible to reach payout but I don't think it's anytime soon for me. I plan to write more articles in the coming month. I mostly promote my articles in yahoo answers and my own blog.

I'm at three 1/2 months and 21 articles. Soon to be 22. I'm at a little over three dollars, but I haven't promoted anywhere yet. Every time I want to do promoting, I get so involved in Mylot, I don't know where the time flies to.
You've really answered a lot of mine lately, thank you very much.

Oh you're welcome. Your discussions are interesting and always catch my interest. Anyway, I am the same. Everytime I want to write something on helium but I just got really busy with mylot. I start too many discussions these days and I always have to catch up with the fabulous responses! *laughs*.

I have been a member of Helium for a while but I hardly write for them unless it is something that I am very interested in. I have about $4 with them. I have heard a few people who have said that they have reached payout. I also write for Associated Content and when I write articles that I think Helium would like, I submit them as non-exclusive and submit them to Helium also so that I can make money there off of the same article.

I'm getting close to $5 at Helium. At my current rate, it will take 25 months for my first payout. It has taken over 3 months for payout here, so I'm not a fast earner.

I have not yet. In fact, I am trying to rack my brain trying to consider how to best explain the subject I have in my head. I do have my profile page and I would put the information on my blog. However, I doubt that anyone would bother looking at it, if I did decide to write, that is, if I had the time. I am a fiction writer, and I guess Helium only pays for articles, so I maybe out of luck.

There is a short story part of Helium that is fictional. But you like to write novels. So short story may not be long enough to do what you're interested in.

I don't know about in general, but I do know that personally, I've been writing since February, and I'm around $17 currently. I've got probably 50 articles, and I don't really do any promotion at all.
My only hope is that I can cash out by Christmas. $25 won't do a ton for my Christmas shopping, but every little bit helps, especially since we're going home for a week at Christmas this year.
