The Queen of England recently gave recognition to a relative of a friend of ours. If the Queen of England was going to recognize you for something, what would it be?

i think i would want it to be a recognition for some charitable acts or a heroic act. Charitable acts like what Mother Theresa of Calcutta did and she was given a Nobel Prize. Heroic act would be rescuing people from an emergency situation or a calamity. No prize for dreaming...let me just dream on.

Well I think it would have to be for my loyalty to the monachy, as I am in Australia and some people here want to go Republic and get rid of the Monachy, I have been in many arguments as to why we should keep the monachy, I am a stern believer in God Save The Queen.

there are a lot of people who think we as a country should be looking after ourselves and become a republic, we had a referendum and they lost but I feel as soon as we get a Prime Minister that also wants a Republic we will probably get one, OMG I hope we never do, We need England, I am proud of my English heritage from way back and I think we should leave well enough alone, people just seem to want to change everything regardless of what damage it could do....

That's really interesting to hear. When I visited Australia years ago I heard a lot of anti-English sentiment. I wondered if many people shared that feeling.

Without a doubt, it would be finding humor in despair. What was your relative recognized for? That's very cool!

It is my friend's relative. He is a professor and he was recognized for his work with students.
