How do you feel when you have a discussion removed?

I just noticed that a discussion I started a few days ago has been removed. I have been here about 5 months and it was the first one that I have had removed because of guideline violation. So sorry to the five people who responded to this discussion. It was a handy little chart God's positive answer. Not sure what it violated. Though I did use the copy and paste feature of something that I received in an e-mail. Maybe it was posted already, I'm not sure, I usually check for discussions to see if it had been posted already before starting a discussion but failed to check this time. I didn't really know it had been removed until I was checking my e-mail and went to retrieve the response from the discussion, this is how I learned that it had been removed. I'm a little sadden about it, but will continue on. So how do you feel when you have a discussion removed? How many discussions have you had removed? As far as I know this is the first one that I have had removed.

i feel very sad, especially when i can't reach the minimum payout. 0.81 away from my payout last month. and my stars get down to 8. some of my discussions with referal links has been deleted several days ago, i know i break the rules of mylot. so now i pay more attention to the rules. but i see many members post referral links here, some of them post referral links under my discussions, and it is not related to my discussions. i feel very angry.

I don't post referral links since I know that is against mylot guidelines, but I do refer them to my profile page that has the referral link there. It would upset me as well if someone posted a referral link in my discussion especially if it didn't pertain to the discussion.

If other posted a referral link, we can report abuse for his/her comment/reply. If all of us can do this, then nobody is willing to post the referral link. It is difficult for mylot to know intelligently who actually post the referral link, but we can actively to do something to make people following the rule of mylot.

Thanks for commenting. Looks like you might not have a problem with that since at this posting you only have 15 post in 3 weeks.

Wow 5 months and this is the first, great job, really. I had my one and only discussion removed about 3 months here, so I beat you, LOL. It was a case of too dramatic of a title. It was "Dirty stinking immigrants" and it was gone in a day. It was about my mouse problems, but it stirred up a stink because too many just read the title and not the post. Oh well, I shrugged it off. It was the first and only one since, so I am cool with it. I get it. As for yours you could email Mylot and asked them, they will give you an answer, that is how I found out what caused mine to be deleted. It could be no source was mentioned, but if it came from an email, I can't see how you could post one. Did you state it was from an email? Anyway, I am glad you are not discouraged by it, you shouldn’t be. You have a 10 star and many posts under your belt. Keep up the good work and just keep on posting.

Thanks for responding. That gets me that yours was removed because of the title. I tend to do way more reading of post that I do even in responding to them. I didn't put in the discussion that I received it in an e-mail. I'm not too worried about it, since it was my first one being deleted.

I have discussions of my own removed also, that I sometimes ask the admin about my violation. But I guess they won't let us know, so I just ignore it and move on. There are times where I get pi$$ed off because I feel sorry for those who have responded to it, made some valid points about my topic then it'll only be just deleted. But hey, I'm still here and enjoying!;)

I have not had that happen but i would probably feel bad. I have noticed a couple that I responded to get removed. I dont know why the first one did but the second one was either because I made a typo or it could have been because the other person was being quite abusive verbally to both my lot and to me personally.

I have had discussions deleted that I responded to on several occassions. Usually it is because someone posted a referral link in the discussion is to why it was removed.

I am one month old in this website and even after studying the guidelines, i made a mistake for which the post was deleted. If it is our mistake, then, there is nothing to worry when the post is being deleted. So, i dont feel anything when my posts get deleted. But they can consider warning us to remove by ourselves with in a day or something. And then if we violate, they can do their usual job.

I don't feel bad about mine being deleted, it's the fact others responded, and their post was deleted. Don't feel so much bad for myself as for others.

Generally I follow the rules and regulations of mylot and hence i do not have to worry. In spite of this, if it is still deleted, I just cannot help. There are several topics to which I have responded to have been removed, because these topics were against mylot rules. Here also, I learn a lessor and ensure myself that I should not respond to such topics.

I suppose if we learn lessons from these mishaps, then that is the most we can ask for.

oh, it's a pity that your discussion has been removed, but it's a thing that could happen! Luckily this happens to me very rarely! It happens to people that just begins writing on myLot, and don't fully know myLot rules and guidelines! But sometimes it happens to more expert people. And all of us understand that when we come back and look for that discussion ;-(. Maybe there should be a warning from myLot in our email every time a discussion is removed, so we get aware of this fact before...and not after looking for it trying to reply to people! I feel sad like you when it happens, of course...and everytime I try to think why it has been removed...and what is the reason of the deletion...

Well, knock on wood, so far I don't think I've had a discussion deleted but am sure the time will come. It is annoying I'm sure though and have had friend's discussions deleted and they didn't understand why. I do which that mylot had a system to notify people why this happens - some people may not make the same mistake twice if they knew why.

Hi there, i don't also understand why mylot is doing that deleting discussions and all that. Perhaps yeah, there might be a reasons like it violated the rules, but i think if Mylot do that deleting, they should inform the owner the discussion that their post was been deleted due to something, yada yada... Not like this, that we're keep on wondering why things happening and what are the reasons possible. Anyway, i am also thinking that maybe, Just MAYBE, because of the huge numbers now of discussions that been posted ever since, MAYBE mylot doing this deleting discussions Randomly. I just come up with that thinking, coz if we're only look up to the possibility that the old discussions was been removed only, then why a few minutes ago, i've seen like 5 old discussions and some of them are still unresolved. So how's that? Kinda weird right? And not to mention, those old discussions that i've seen are here for about 5months now and still unresolved, and still not been removed. I think, mylot should removed those kinds of discussions rather than deleting the new discussions and still getting responses from other mylotters. Have a nice day ahead from Kiko and happy posting and earning here.

I think I will feel hurtful to it. As I don't think there will be something wrong for my discussions. I can't think out a reason why it will be removed. But I don't want to check it. As if I really found my discussion is removed, I will be so disappointed.

Well, the title of a discussion is important. Most people will decide to response to it through its title. So, you have realise it now,I think your discussion wonn't be removed from now on.
