I'll be attatching photos of some of the various signs from the Minnesota Renaissance festival I had attended Saturday. This one attatched caight my eye right away. Can you imagine why? Hahahaha!! It was a court jesters act that was hilarious as all heck. There were some great names of shoppes etc at this festival. Let me say that if theirs one near you please go. It is costly but very well worth the money. I drove about 50 miles to attend this and it was well worth every thing. I hope you enjoy some of these signs. Thanks and have a great day/evening as well.

I love the Renaissance Festivals. I always try to go every year if finances allow. I like taking my daughter and some friends, we always have a good time. There is such humor in the names of the shoppes the troupes that entertain and everyone seems to truly enjoy their work there, which makes me enjoy my time there and not mind spending so much money hahaha!

This picture is a group called "Drunk And Disorderly".
They were a great singing/comedy act. And yes I think
they were drunk every time we bumped into them. HAHAHAHA!!

Okay Bob....great pictures. You seriously need to get a job with the visitors and convention bureau. Since you just showed half the world what Minnesota is made of you should get sometime for promoting our great state! Congrats on such a fun time and great photos.

I love the Texas Renaissance Festival and would always go when I was living here, so this year I am really looking forward to it. When I lived on the eastcoast I attended the one in Ft Lauderdale and Maryland but none compared in size to the one that they have here in Plantersville, Texas it is on 15 acres and huge to walk around, in fact you usually can see everything on your first time there. My favorite is the Mud Guys, did they have that troup at the Minnesota one you went to?

We had a group called Puke N Snot. the mud one doesn't sound familiar. But then again this one here in Minnesota is huge covering about 40 acres. need to go a few times actually to see most of it. But that's too exspensive then. Here's another great sign of the Renaissance festival I loved. It was a food shop of some type.

That's pretty cute, Bob! I loved all of them. Sounds like you had a great time at the fair. Someday, we'll get there. I think the kids at school go to a Ren. Fair sometime in 8th grade. At least my neighbor's niece went last spring.

They are a blast to see. This one here in Minnesota is so big you could go a few days and still not see it all. But the cost is a killer for more than once a year.

I can understand why you liked the show. Did you get into the act? I think I have seen that act of a version of that act. I love Ren fairs there is one near us that will be in October. I think I will ask a friend to take me to. I love looking around at all the shops and eating all the good food. I like the idea of eating turkey right off the leg without knifes and forkes piggy style.
Thanks for sharing your photos.

Did I get involved? What do you think? Of course I did. This jester had a prisoner in a cage hanging from atree. He made him hand an apple between his legs. yeah at that spot. He was going to toss the arrow through the apple. Not shoot it, throw it. As I walked by I grabbed the arrow from his hands. Thats was all. I got involved big time in that act. I loved it, the actors loved it as did the crowd.

When I lived in Maryland I would travel fairly far to the Rennaissance Faire but it was always well worth it. I especially loved it on rainy days - less heat, less crowds...and the greenery that surrounds it seemed even more green. The fairre is like the ultimate pretend game for daydreamers - pretending to be transported back in time. The artisans are brilliant the food delicious -and barbaric the shows fun and interactive the music divine and the pickle guy hilarious. You can get a massage, a psychic reading or steak on a stick.
I just had to avoid the fragrances from incense and such as it triggers migraines. Looking forward to more photos - hilarious you were able to find this one.
Okay Uncle Bob - on to more discussions!

Oh the scents are what I love. Luckily I don't have the problem you have with the incense etc. All I could smell was musk and sandalwood aromas there. Here's another photo from the RenFest.

They have one here in Michigan every summer but I've never made it to one. It's on my list of 'things to do' though.
