Does anybody know where I could sell some old coins and how to find out what they're worth before selling them? I've been collecting a few over the years and now have quite a collection but don't know where to sell them at when the time comes that I want to sell them. I don't want to be taken for a ride by a more knowledgable person who's out to make a profit when it's my item to begin with in which should be me making a profit.
I hope I made sense here. LOL Happy mylotters!

I asked the same question about stamps. I rec'd lots of answers on where to sell them and look for them to sell but it didn't help me. I know in Australia there are books on stamps and coin values but that doesn't help me value mine. I think the best thing would be to talk to or go see a dealer.

Thanks very much! But where do I find a dealer? I mean I know there's baseball card shops - dealers but where do I find a coin dealer?

I don't collect them nowadays, but saved my old collectioon from years past.
Are yours from different countries, or old coins from just your country?

Just from my country (USA). Mine date back from 1969 on back. They're old but not VERY old except a few others that I have which are much older.
