Have U had bad experience purchasing online? How did u fix it?

I actually just had a bad experience within the last couple of weeks with purchasing online . I am not sure what is going to happen yet as I am still trying to get my money but have hopes that I will get some of it back . I purchased an ipod off ebay for my daughter but right after I paid for the item the ebay user was considered fradulent and was taken off ebay . I was sent a notice not to pay the seller but I had already paid for the item as I always pay right away . I have contacted paypal to let them know what has happened but am not sure what is going to happen yet as I have never had this happen before . Whoever it was is no longer a paypal user anymore either so I have little hope that I will recieve the item and don't know how much of my money I will get back from paypal to cover my item . I paid almost eighty dollars to get the ipod which I had considered a good price but now am worried about the fact that I am out this money and now don't have the ipod for my daughter which I was hoping to give to her for Christmas .

last year i have made some online purchasing a vga card for my computer , not expensive just $120.I order from amazone before made a order i contact the company seller and they said that they can ship to my country in indonesia and take 1-2 weeks, after the order i made and i wait for a month my order never come , i contact the seller and they said the stuff is send to me ...what the he** is that , for now i never made a order or purchasing some stuff with online seller ..big risk i think. or because i am from indonesia which have a bad reputation on carding ..i do not know but i really dissapointed about that.

I purchased an item that did not remotely look like what I ordered. I took a photograph of the item with a digital camera and called up Amazon.com and told them what had happened. The Amazon.com rep asked me politely to send the display picture and the picture of what the item looked like in reality. I sent both pictures, and Amazon took back the item, even though the item was sold from an umbrella company and paid S&H and refunded purchase price. I sent back the item via the shipping company they specified and they refunded my $$ into the checking account. I've had sense a long and happy relationship with Amazon.com.
