Quality and price are the two most important things I consider when shopping.
Here in Thailand it's sad to say that imitation is so rampant and blatant so there's no point going for the brand because you might end up buying a fake object. Well, it happened to me already. I bought a Guess watch at apparently half the price because it was December. Shockingly, it started to tarnish after only a week or wearing it. I wanted to return it but woe unto me for I lost the receipt.
It's not my only basis. You would prove it as soon as you stepped down the plane when you come to Bangkok.
So now, I told myself that I'm going to buy only Thai products with Thai brands because they are cheaper but okay. At least I won't expect too much because I know it's made in Thailand and it's not supposed to last long.

This doesn't happen usually in India, but in Tibetian markets here, many duplicate goods are sold. Thanks for responding!

well i think most of us really go for brand.... but in a very high cost of living people go for quality and for the price. most of the people now wait for the sale before buying anything.

I don't enjoy shopping but since you asked I prefer to look for quality goods. It is important to me for I am going to use it for a long time.

While I would love to say that brand always comes first (because there are some brands I adore), I can't afford many of the brands I like in clothing all the time. I love Seven For All Mankind Jeans but I am not about to drop $280 on a pair when I want jeans. I have two pairs of Sevens and that is enough.
I look at price and quality. If the quality is bad, I won;t buy it even if it is cheap. If it is a decent price and decent quality, I will.
In makeup, I admit, I usually shop high end brands. Same with skin care. I guess it deppends on what I am buying.
But I am only brand loyal to a few names. The rest is what catches my eye and suits mt budget.

i shop based usually on price and then quality. i dont care about the brand. its just the same with other products except for the signature. as long as i like the style, the color and with good quality, its okay for me. ^__^
