Firewalls r really good option for u.. They block services as per ur need. u can go for Zonealarm.. its really a good firewall..

hi i am new to this whole world of internet and computers but somewhere i felt that i can jus answer u...as u have told that there is something on ur computer and u want to remove it but i advice u that dont install anything instead why dont u reboot ur system and start a fresh that the pain of installing something is out of the question but before rebooting pls save all the important file in a place from where it can not deleted..i hope i would have helped u in a small way
