US Military Misplaced 5 Nukes In America

The Air Force lost track of five nuclear warheads for three and a half hours in America's sky. They wound up aboard a plane traveling from Minot Air Force Base, ND., to Barksdale Air Force Base, La., on Aug. 30. They were inside missiles that were to be decommissioned. They were supposed to be taken out, the warheads belonged somewhere else.

The Air Force assured that the Nukes were in Air Force hands at all times in an Air Force plane. Their safeties would prevent an accidental mushroom cloud even if there was a crash...well that's a comfort.

That's a bit mental, how do you just happen to misplace nukes? they aint exactly easy to hide now are they? O.o I don't think it really matters if they were in an airforce plane or not, teh fact that they went off radar is enough to make anyone start to worry.

Definitely, and the worry that these are possibly not the only nukes flying 'off the radar' has me reaching for the Prozac bottle with shaking fingers....

It is amazing how they could just lose the nukes here in America. Somebody or some people really screwed up royally and will be paying a big price for their mess up. Thank goodness these nukes did not get into the hands of any terrorists. It is amazing how incompetent some of the people in the military can be. They need to do more to improve the security here at home.

Oh tell me about it! Who cares if those suckers were in an air force craft in air force hands, having misplaced nukes overhead made me worry just a teeny bit! Not your every day misplaced luggage. Makes me worry about what else goes missing...
