what's your idea for a romantic ride on a date?

what would be your idea for a romantic ride (on a date) ? would it be cruising on a gondola/small boat for a private time with her/him along a calm river/on a lake? or spending an evening ride on a hot air balloon? ...or something else?..

i would want to ride a gondola with my lover!! i think that is just so romantic!!! and i'd feel much safer coz even if we fell on the lake, its okay coz i can swim. if we fell from the hot air balloon, i'd be doomed coz i cant fly! LOL

I like to keep my feet on the ground, especially when I'm in unknown territory, as would be the case with a date. I love the idea of a long walk in the woods, surrounded by huge trees and colorful flowers, and being sung to by the native bird population. I think it's easier to get comfortable with someone, when you're relaxed and this setting would relax me, 100%.

I wouldn't mind a walk in the woods as long as their are no mosquitoes. ;p

he he...that's very honest. i agree with you. relaxation must come 1st on an intended date - so that the true atmosphere can be enjoyed without unwanted distractions..

My husband of 10 years and I took our kids (14 and 11) to the Fall Fair this past weekend. My husband and I never did a lot of dating because I was a mother on our second go-round (long story). So I said to him that we had to go on the ferris wheel and started singing the verse to Palisades Park... "You never know how great a kiss can feel until you stop on the top of a ferris wheel..." Well, we stopped at the top all right, for the longest time and we were both freaking out. Hubby's hands were clammy because he is afraid of heights. And he kept leaning forward, which tilted the seat, so that freaked me out. We did kiss but it wasn't romantic. LOL! I think a nice ride on horseback and stopping for a picnic would be pretty romantic... if he would let it. He's not very romantic.

LOL! No, he doesn't have a romantic bone on his body. When I suggested we go on the ferris wheel he said absolutely nothing, just went with me reluctantly. LOL!

ha ha ha pat...this is a lifetime challenge for you. he may look 'boring' from the outside for now, but if you work harder to bring his 'romantic' side out, you'll be there! and when you do, it worth the effort. i don't know how, but people change. do you know that the wind can shape rocks? do you know that there's a new technology using water to cut steel? work harder...he's all yours! cheers!

on a fine day... on a large grassy plain where you can hardly see any human except you & him... no sound of modern accessories..(car, hand phone, airplane..etc.) just the two of you in a different, peaceful environment.. ..wow..!

The most 'romantic' ride he's taken me on was on the Harley. Started as a ride in the country, I had just recently moved to this state, but right in the middle of nowhere was a miniture golf course and ice cream stand. We played a round, and then the ride back home at sunset was amazing with the mountains and all. We've had many rides like that since, but that one really stands out. And anyday spent with him on the Harley is a great one.
