Ok so i got this email from my friend Miah,,There is a new FAD hitting the good ol' USA and im sure other countries..and HEY if so! let me know I would love to hear about it!! anyways..its called CARVING.,.YES..U HEARD IT..its not ink tatoos..they carve your skin offfff,,yes offf in designs that u want!! omg! when i saw these i ablout died!! and i literally felt her pain! the first FEW PICS ARE NOT FOR THE WEKS AT HEART..but the last 3 are what it looks like after it heals..talk to me..would you? Could you? HAVE YOU?? omg..i cant take my eyes away!!!lol..
REMEMBER LOOK AT THE PICS WITH THIS MAY BE NASTY! ICKY WARNING!!

wow that looks very painful and must hurt like anything,i have 4 nice size tattoos but they are the ink ones,i dont think i would ever do this no matter how popular they were,omg that just looks so nasty.no way could i do that.pattie

Ughh! nothing new?? I canrt imagine anyone wanting this to be aroudn that long..but your right..theer are whole new worlds i have no idea about..just my own..yea that carving is a huge..bad idea..this is just yucky!!

I find this to be very strange.
However they do this a lot in third world countries and in tribes as a right of passage.
It is certainly something I would not ever do.

Oh my gosh! I think that is absolutly disgusting. I didn't even like normal ink tattos! I mean for myself, it's fine if other people wanted them. But now this! I can't believe anyone would want to go through this and do this to themselves! Ink tatoos work fine, this is just...icky!!

i like tats..i dont have any..but they can be done great or soo tacky or just too much..period!! this...this is gross and nasty..and she wil have to live with it forever!this was just gross..thanks so much for posting hun..have a good one!

oh my.... i cant even imagine that... i have a few tatts but i would NEVER do anything like that...i know there are people out there who like pain but come on this is going way too far...the most i have ever been cut was when i had my boys they were born by c-section and that was painful enough... but i guess everyone has there own preferances but this one is too far out there for me to comprhend WHY????

Okay, wait..I need to close my mouth!*face in shocked* OOhhh my GOD! I can feel the pain..just by looking at the pic it looks PAINFUL! no painkiller? or any anesthesia whatsoever? This process of what you call "art" is not really new it's been going around who knows for how many years ago..but this is one thing that I wouldn't do. No way I would be able to do this..just the thought of it makes me scream..OUCH! as in bold letters OUCH! *wehehehe*

Oh my goodness! How could anyone want someone to CARVE their skin. I don't mind tattoos, I have two, but I wouldn't do that. Think of all the risks and hazards that have to be associated with this. I guess they think it looks good, but you can't even get that removed or covered up like a tattoo.

If what you are referring to is 'scarification', then yeah, it's been around but not a very popular trend in the U.S.(till now, i guess!) Other cultures do perform these acts as a right of passage, usually men into adulthood. I did see one show on Nat. Geo. that showed a culture of people who began this 'procedure' on boys as young as 5 -? And in some other cultures, the people are literally covered almost head-to-toe with scars from these intentional cuts. Whatever floats your boat!

OMG! This is crazy! I love tattoos I have six of them. I don't think I ever would go this far...But as you know I have had a problem with cutting myself and this defeast the purpose that people like me have and are trying not to do and to get better...I think it will be alot of kids and teens and exspecially ones that are troubled or are depressed that do get into this kind of fad...And for us who do have a problem cutting could turn to this...I just hope it don't turn into being a fad that does come over to the USA......

wow...you brought up an excellent point mystic..i never thought about that,,and im sorry to hear about you and your probs..i hope u stopped doing it..life too short.but u know thats true what u said.it would start a new fad of kid cutting themsleves.and omg! the horror!!!!i sure hope it doesnt get too famous..thanks sooo much for your post,,it was awesome,,and im giving you BR for that..take care!

Oh Cloud_Kicker, this is definitely scarry...and I can not even imagine why would people be so masochistic? And having the need to hurt themselves, and their flesh carved off...Too much really, and I would never ever thing to mutilate myself this way...and if I ever would I hope there will be enough sane people arround that will try to stop me from doing it ;)
